Lee Gi Kwang Reveals His True feeling About BEAST Rebranding

K-Pop boy group BEAST kicked off their debut under new name Highlight with a track "Plz Don't Be Sad" that has successfully topped multiple major music charts. Highlight member, Lee Gi Kwang, recently talked about his hope and his true feeling about Highlight's future.

BEAST has claimed a special spot in the K-Pop industry since their debut in 2009. Even though they now come back with a new name, it wouldn't change the fact that Lee Gi Kwang, Yoon Doo Joon, Yong Jun Hyung, Yang Yoseob, and Son Dong Woon are still the sweethearts among new rookie K-Pop groups. Talking about the group's debut under the new name, Lee Gi Kwang stated in an utmost optimism that Highlight will be able to reclaim BEAST's success, as it's noted by Soompi.

Highlight recently was featured on "Section TV Entertainment Replay". Besides promoting their debut track "Plz Don't Be Sad", Highlight boys were also challenged to answer some questions from fans. A fan asked the members what they want to achieve this year, and Lee Gi Kwang answered that his one and only goal this year is to make Highlight as successful as BEAST.

Highlight debuted in 2009 as a six-member boy group. They went on release some iconic K-Pop hits over the years that made them one of the most prominent K-Pop groups. One of the group's member, Jang Hyunseung, left the group in 2016 prior to their rebranding as Highlight. The boys picked Highlight to be their new name because it has emotional tie since Highlight is the title of their last album as BEAST under former agency Cube Entertainment.

After leaving Cube Entertainment, Highlight creates their independent label, Around Us Entertainment. Highlight released their mini-album "Can You Feel It?" on March 20. The album consists of six tracks including current hit track "Plz Don't Be Sad" and a pre-release single "It's Still Beautiful".
