SECRET Jun Hyosung Apologizes Again for 'Democratization' Crisis at KAIST Festival

SECRET's Jun Hyosung has had a rough week after her misuse of the word 'democratization' on the radio. Even after a series of apologies on Twitter and official statements, the public is not easily letting the 23-year-old artist off the hook as criticism continue to pour in online.

SECRET, as special guests at KAIST (Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) festival, took to the stage on May 20. Prior to the performance, however, Jun Hyosung opened up with a few words of apology.

"Before we perform, I want to offer my apology," Jun Hyosung set out to make a statement but was soon overcome with emotion and could not continue her words. The members of SECRET appeared sympathetic at their fellow member's tears on stage.

After holding back her tears, Jun Hyosung said, "I am really sorry for creating a big issue with my thoughtless comment. As a celebrity, it was a big mistake and I am very sorry. I will become a better person through this."

Following the controversy, one of SECRET's scheduled performances at a college festival was cancelled. Even at KAIST, the bulletin board heated up with rivaling opinions whether or not SECRET should still perform at their festival.
