Why Are Netizens Attacking Singer Sam Smith On Twitter?

Sam Smith, a famous British pop singer, has recently been a target of hate from netizens after being accused of hating on K-Pop! Netizens found proof of the artist disliking K-Pop through his Twitter account history.

On August 31st, a user had posted a comment on Twitter saying "Kpop all sounds the same and they can't sing." Underneath that comment, fans noticed that artist Sam Smith had favorited the tweet in agreement.

Many fans gave mixed reactions towards Sam's Smith actions and immediately came to the defense of idols and the K-Pop genre as a whole. Netizens also wondered why he would favor the tweet especially when many international artists have been praising K-Pop as of late.

However, instead of attacking Sam Smith with malicious comments, netizens and fans posted video proof of idols who could sing and perform quite brilliantly to covers of his hit songs. Although Sam Smith has responded yet, we feel the message is clear and well received. What do you think of Sam Smith's idea of K-Pop and the way netizens handled it?
