Nominees Announced for 2018 MAMA First Lineup of Performers includes BTS, TWICE, WANNA ONE

Nominees for 2018 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) have been revealed at

The nominees, including ‘Artist of the Year', Song of the Year’, etc., have been selected from
a pool of artists, who have had songs and albums released during the period from
18th   October 2017 to 31st October 2018. The final award winners will be selected based on
a combination of online and SNS votes, music and record sales, review from a panel of
judges, etc.

Online voting has officially started from 1st November 2018 and will continue up to 9th
December 2018 at . 

MAMA has also unveiled this year’s new award category ‘Worldwide Icon of the Year’ and
‘Fans’ Choice’ to be awarded in Japan. The much-anticipated ‘Fans’ Choice’ will be awarded
based on a combination of Twitter-votes, music video online views, etc. Fans can vote via
Twitter by posting a tweet with the official hashtag “#MAMAVOTE” AND the artists’ official
hashtag “#artistname” (full list available on the official website). Each account can post one
Twitter tweet per day.

Meanwhile, 2018 MAMA sets to take place at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Korea on
10th December, in Japan (at Saitama Super Arena) on 12th December and makes its final
stop in Hong Kong (at AsiaWorld-Expo, Arena (AWE)) on 14th   December.
