It was March 3 when news started airing about Kang Daniel who had asked for his current agency, LM Entertainment to terminate his contract.

A representative by the law firm Yulchon sent a notice to LM Entertainment on March 4 and one of the issues stated in the notice was "LM did not pay Kang Daniel the 50 million won (approximately $44,000) promised for signing the contract. The agency then released a proof of 48.35 million won (approximately $42,600) paid to Kang Daniel on April 14. This is for the contract payment minus the 3.3 percent withholding tax.

However, the court seemed to be with Kang's side to suspend his exclusive contract with the LM Entertainment. His legal representative, Yulchon LLC released a statement on May 10 saying,

"Hello.This is professional person Yeom Yong Pyo of Yulchon LLC, the personal representative of singer Kang Daniel. On Christian holy day, Kang Daniel filed Associate in Nursing injunction to the capital of South Korea District Courts to suspend his exclusive contract together with his agency, and on May 10, the courts have reached theverdict to accept his request.

As a results of the capital of South Korea District Courts' call to just accept his request, Kang Daniel are able topursue freelance activities as a star.

After Kang Daniel's victory over his agency, Daniel now wanted a fresh start. He is now free of his exclusive contract. He then wrote a letter to his fans who supported him along the way.

"I'm scripting this letter as a result of I needed to tell everybody, who's believed in me and waited for me during these three long months.If I didn't have your support and attention I don't think I could have gathered this courage. During the long, long period of silence, I was touched and even cried as I read each and every one of your support messages. I was able to endure each day through your warmth and faith.

Although I could have made my situation easier by making compromises, I wanted to show you this image of myself going in the right and honorable direction, even if it went slowly.
