YG Entertainment's girl group BABYMONSTER has achieved a major milestone by surpassing one million album sales with their first full-length album Drip, marking their first million-seller record.

The company revealed that the album reached 1,011,352 cumulative sales on the Hanteo Chart as of June 27, approximately seven months after its release on November 1, 2024.

The achievement represents remarkable growth for the seven-member group, which officially debuted in April 2024 with their mini-album BABYMONS7ER. The Drip album demonstrated the group's rising popularity by selling 677,961 copies in its first week, representing a 1.7-fold increase from their debut album's initial sales of 401,287 copies. Within a week of release, total orders reached approximately 820,000 copies, nearly doubling the sales performance of their previous release.

BABYMONSTER's success extends beyond album sales into international chart performance. The Drip album entered the U.S. Billboard 200 chart at No. 149, marking their first appearance on the prestigious ranking. The title track "Drip" achieved new personal bests by reaching No. 16 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 30 on the Billboard Global 200. The album also topped iTunes Album Charts in 14 regions and secured first place on Japan's Line Music Album Top 100 Real-time Chart.

The group's streaming presence has been equally impressive. On YouTube, the "Drip" music video hit number one on the "Most Viewed Videos within 24 Hours" upon release. The pre-released track "Click Clack" maintained its position in the top 10 of global YouTube daily popular charts for four consecutive days, accumulating over 60.07 million views. On Spotify, "Drip" has been charting on the Daily Top Songs Global chart, reaching a peak position of 109th place.

BABYMONSTER consists of seven members: Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rora, Haram, and Chiquita, representing Korean, Thai, and Japanese nationalities. The group is YG Entertainment's first girl group debut in seven years since BLACKPINK. They initially debuted as a six-member group in November 2023 with "Batter Up" due to Ahyeon's temporary absence for health reasons, before officially launching as a complete seven-member group in April 2024.

The Drip album features nine tracks, including double title tracks "CLIK CLAK" and "Drip," along with "Love, Maybe," "Really Like You," "Billionaire," "Love In My Heart," "Wake Up In Tokyo," "Forever," and "Batter Up (remix)." The record debuted at the top of South Korea's Circle Album Chart and maintained a strong performance across various global platforms.

Industry analysts attribute BABYMONSTER's success to their live performance skills and expanding global fan base through fan meeting tours. The group has plans for continued activities in the second half of 2025, including new single releases and their first world tour, which is expected to further accelerate their popularity growth.
