On May 29, 2019, the Kpop girl group released an official MV for their fan song entitled "WE ARE.." The track is included in their latest mini album "We," which was issued on May 15 and is the last album that EXID will have as a full five-member group for a while.

The song "WE ARE.." holds a message for EXID's fans. In the song, each member expressed their love for LEGGO who have given their full support for the past seven years. There are lyrics such as "My fans, my staff, my fam everyone thank you," "You are the one who lifted my self-esteem from the bottom," "You make us become who we are," and "I have nothing but gratitude," which show how the EXID members appreciate their fans and cherish every moment they had together.

The music video of the track displays the clips of the members' unforgettable times during album jacket shoots, a trip to the beach, and their concerts. It is somewhat like a parting gift of EXID to LEGGO as recently an announcement was made stating that Hani and Junghwa will be leaving their agency Banana Culture Entertainment.

In an interview, LE said that she asked every member to write the lyrics for their parts in "WE ARE.." She also mentioned that the recording session became emotional for everyone. It was so sensitive that Solji stopped recording as she could not sing properly due to her endless tears.

On May 30, EXID's Hani and Junghwa left separate messages for their fans on the day of their departure in the group's official fan café. The two will now pursue solo activities with new agencies.

The rest of the group, Solji, LE, and Hyerin renewed their contracts and will focus on individual goals. EXID's leader and main vocalist Solji and main rapper LE are both planning to promote themselves as solo artists, lead vocalist Hyerin, on the other hand, is thinking of moving into broadcast and music activities.

Though the five members have parted ways and taking a hiatus as a group, the label emphasized that EXID doesn't consider the departure as disbandment, but they think of it more as a chance to face new challenges. In fact, LE said in an interview that they have many things planned out in the future and they are going to make it work, so the fans don't need to worry about it.
