Mnet aired the first episode of "X1 FLASH" on August 22. It is a reality show that follows the life of members while they get ready for their debut.


The members talked about how difficult their choreography is in their upcoming title track. Kim Woo Seok said that they worried about making a lot of mistakes because the choreography is very hard. The members also revealed their secrets. Son Dong Pyo said Kang Min Hee did not take a bath for 4 days for "Pretty Girl's" 5-day practice. They also revealed that Nam Do Hyon was still not finish unpacking, although they have been staying in their new dorm for a month.


X1 shared when they decided to become idols. Son Dong Pyo said he was always alone in their house because his mom was working. He was watching TV and saw the popular stars are walking on the red carpet. Son Dong Pyo explained, "After seeing that, I thought I also wanted to receive that kind of love and attention."


Song Hyeong Joon revealed that his family was struggling financially. He was thankful for his oldest sister who persuaded their parents to enroll him in a dance class. He remembered her saying that Hyeong Joon finally knows what he wants. And we should just help and support him by doing what he wants. Their mother was against it at the beginning but he worked hard so that they can save money for music lessons.


Cha Jun Ho and Kang Min Hee shared that they both enjoyed practicing at their companies. Kim Woo Seok and Lee Han Gyul said they felt motivated and determined when they hear their audience cheer for them. They dreamed of hearing more people cheer when they perform.


Cho Seung Youn said that he was more into sports and love playing soccer when he was young. Lee Seung Gi's "Let's Go On Vacation" inspired him and realized he wanted to be a singer someday. Kim Yo Han has a similarity with Lee Seung Gi. He was also an athlete and became successful in Taekwondo. He is thankful for his supportive parents who were with him throughout his idol dream. Nam Do Hyon shared that he wanted to produce and sing his own song.

Han Seung described his trainee life to be very difficult. He only had 100,000 won when he went to Seoul. He remembered eating only 1 ramen every day and staying in a small single room. He debuted after 3 years of training but life did not get any better as well. Nonetheless, he is now happy to be part of X1.
