This Korean girl group has emerged their flexibility in their music career. Under the JYP Entertainment, they first debuted in February 2019. Before they have this group, it turns out that there were three group names that they were being considered.

However, JYP Entertainment just decided to use simply ITZY. The three group names were Purple Heart, Trigger and Queendom and it has been said why these names were being considered was because the JYP Entertainment wanted the girl group's girl crush image to be reflected as much as possible on their names.

They have also received various awards and nominations including the top artist for Genie Music Awards as they have been nominated for, the female new artist, Global popularity award and the favorite female artist award. They have won the Rookie Award and the Female Rookie Idol of the Year.

The next spot after them is Jang Hye Jin and Yoon Min Soo's "Drunk On Love". The song has been a model of consistency for having the top three on the list for the last five weeks. As of ITZY's group promotion, the group has accumulated 3 award show wins and 6 nominations.

They have received a total of 21 music program awards. Last July 24, 2019, the girl group performed "ICY" for the very first time during the 2019 M2 X GENIE MUSIC AWARDS. That was said to be their official comeback as they have released together with their production for their said single. The song was written and composed by the JYP Entertainment founder and producer of J.Y Park in Seoul, South Korea.

It is noted to be the first time that he will be composing a song for ITZY. Prior to the release and comeback of the group for their new single "ICY", fans are more than curious to see what kind of performance the girls will be bringing out on stage for their 2019 M2 X GENIE MUSIC AWARDS last August 1, 2019, in Korea.
