One of the staff said that most of the contestants chose to avoid WJSN's Yeonjung. According to preliminary rankings, the first is  Yoo Yeonjung, second is DreamCatcher's Siyeon, third is Weki Meki's Choi Yoojung, fourth is Weki Meki's Ji Suyeon, and fifth is Cherry Bullet's Haeyoon. Yoo Yeonjung said that it was her first time to be number one. She is nervous and happy at the same time.

For the preliminary rankings, contestants choose their opponents. Only one person from each battle will move in the next round. 10 million won will be given to the final winner. MC Kang Ho Dong had introduced all the contestants and the VIP panelists. APRIL's Jinsol and Venus's Jeong Da Kyung battled first. Jinsol said that she joined the show because she wanted more people to hear her sing. Jeong Da Kyung was able to make it to the top 4 on "Miss Trot". She wanted to reveal a new side of her.

Jinsol sang BTS's "Boy with Luv" and Jeong Da Kyung sang Park Wan Kyu's "A Thousand Years of Love". Jeong Da Kyung said that chose this song because she used to sing this for a long time. She told Song Ga In that she was coming here. She thought of using Song Ga In's energy and get to the top.

VIP panelist Car, The Garden said that he pressed the button for Jinsol because she is cute and a great singer.  Hyun Woo said he was smiling while watching. He said that he would go home if he was preparing to compete with Jeong Da Kyung.

Brown Eyed Girls' JeA said that she did not know that Jeong Da Kyung was successful because she did not watch 'Miss Trot'. She was curious about the show now and wanted to hear other songs after watching Jeong Da Kyung's performance.

Jeong Da Kyung won the battle with 62 votes from the 101 members of the VIP Panel. Weki Meki's main vocalist Ji Suyeon and fellow member Choi Yoojung battled next.

Choi Yoojung said that people kept talking about her rap battle and Suyeon's, during Weki Meki's live broadcasts or questions during fan meetings. Suyeon asked if she wants to go up against her. " Ji Suyeon said that she knew what kind of songs Yoojung is good at singing. She felt more comfortable to compete against Yoojung than anyone else.

Ji Suyeon was asked if it was a disadvantage to fight against co-member. She replied and said the cash prize will go to the individual anyway.

Choi Yoojung sang Heize's "And July" and Ji Suyeon chose Kim Gun Mo's "First Impression". Choi Yoojung said that there was something she heard that hurt her in the past. She wanted to let people hear her voice this time.

JeA said that this was a big competition and Choi Yoojung is a talented vocalist. She thinks this performance will be divided based on personal preference. Hyun Woo said that this is an amazing group.  She said that this group can dance, singing, rap, and performance all in one team.

Ji Suyeon moved onto the second round with 53 votes. Choi Yoojung cried and said that she was glad that it was over. She said that the rest of the contestants were all main vocalists and she is not. She embraced Ji Suyeon and wished her good luck.

Cherry Bullet's Bora and SONAMOO's High.D. Bora was the 3rd battle. Bora said that she has a high vocal range. She bragged that she can go to five octaves using a whistle.

High.D said It took her 4 years as a trainee before she debuted. She said "'V-1' is a great opportunity for her after resting. She talked with Euijin and thought about how they can win the 10 million won. She wanted to be No. 1 no matter what happens.

Bora chose Ben's "Don't Go Today" while High.D sang Im Chang Jung's "A Cup of Soju". The panelists had difficulty voting for this match. JeA said that both of them are good singers. She was amazed by how Bora sings high notes. She said that she did a good job of expressing her emotions.

Car, The Garden said that the two contestants are amazing. He said that he wanted to see a solo album from both the contestants. High.D continued in the competition with 55 votes from the VIP panelists.
