During the last episode of Mnet's "Queendom," the contestants get ready for a new kind of battle. "Queendom" chose the 6 competing teams during the first 2 rounds. AOA, MAMAMOO, Lovelyz, Oh My Girl, (G)I-DLE, and Park Bom will compete against each other.

The MC's told the contestants that they will compete in a different kind of battle during the episode last September 26. Each group would choose only two members who will join, one will be their vocal representative and the other one will be the dance representative. 

The chosen 6 members for the vocal unit battle will split up into a pair of two 3 teams. The acquired points by each pair will be added toward the 2 team scores. In the dance battle, the 6 members will perform a group dance. They will be scored individually and their scores will be counted towards their team's total scores. Park Bom who is a solo competitor needs to compete in both battles.

AOA's Hyejeong, MAMAMOO's Hwasa, Lovelyz's Kei, Oh My Girl's Hyojung, (G)I-DLE's Minnie, and Park Bom are the six singers who are selected to compete in the vocal battle. On the other hand, AOA's Chanmi, MAMAMOO's Moonbyul, Lovelyz's Yein, Oh My Girl's YooA, (G)I-DLE's Soojin, and Park Bom are the six dancers.

The dancers except for Park Bom who was busy practicing for the vocal battle had a meeting about who will be their team leader and what will be their group name. YooA explained that "Puzzle" was considered to be the second choice group name for Oh My Girl. Puzzle means different members work together to create one beautiful image.

The 6 members liked the meaning and decided to use "6 Puzzle" for their group. After the discussion, the members selected Moonbyul as their group leader. They said that she was the oldest member and she has leadership skills.

The vocalists encountered difficulty in splitting up into pairs. They talked to understand each other's musical styles and preferences. To be able to determine the order in which they would get to express their choice of partner by going in one of the 3 rooms, they played rock-paper-scissors.

Hwasa chose to enter an empty room and Hyejeong entered Hwasa's room to be her partner. Minnie also wanted Hwasa to be her partner so Hwasa needs to decide who will be her partner. She picked Minnie over Hyejeong. Hwasa and Minnie did not last as long as partners. Kei also chose Hwasa to be her partner. Hwasa was moved by Kei's enthusiasm to work with her.

Hyojung chose Park Bom as her partner. In the end, Minnie and Hyojung became the final team of two. In the end, "Queendom" aired a preview for the next week's episode. Park Bom hinted that she would have a surrogate in the dance battle instead of her. The clip also showed the contestants who are eating together happily before the battle. The preview ended when the host announced the start of 3 vocal units' midpoint evaluations.
