On the recent episode of KBS' "Immortal Songs," EXID's Solji came out as a contestant on the Lee Eun Mi special. Recalling, the singer nabbed her first win on the show back in August in the Kim Bum Soo special, and that victory really made Solji feel over the moon. 

"I was so happy. That day, I finally figured out why people kept talking about that feeling of seeing the light turn on [to signify a contestant's victory]. For the first time, I learned why people get addicted to that light," she said.

"In the past, the light always turned off for me, so it was always dark. Even when your eyes are closed, you can feel the light getting brighter around you. I felt so happy," she added.

The emcees then asked Solji if she desires to clinch a win again, to which she responded with, "Yes. It gave me confidence. Even though I worked hard, my results weren't always good. I felt a lot of pressure every time I appeared on 'Immortal Songs,' and I didn't feel confident. But after winning last time, I thought, 'It can happen.' I realized that there's something there even if I win just one round."

Prior to her performance, Solji sat down for an interview wherein she shared her thoughts on the veteran songstress Lee Eun Mi, who she described as "the queen of live performances"

"[While watching her], I learned a lot about how to sing and how to perform. I prepared Lee Eun Mi's 'Nocturne' [for the show]. I have ambitions [about winning], but so does everyone else. So I just want to do a good job with the song. I think I'll be really happy if people just say things like, 'There's a singer named Solji,' 'She's good at singing,' and 'She has passion,'" she went on.

Previously, the EXID member just launched her own YouTube channel. In her first video, she shared that she wanted to do one so that she can have a personal platform where she can sing a wide array of songs. She also explained the reason behind naming her channel as "Soul G," and it's obvious that it's a play on words - "sol" is the note G and Solji explained that she desires to become a soulful songstress.

Moreover, she aspires to share her music on the site and she also wants to be able to able to be in connection with her fans.
