A source from the agency went on, "Using our strengths in foreign advancement and our specialized A&R skills, we will give Luna our full and unsparing support so that she can fully display the unique charms and musical talents that she has not yet been able to show. We ask that you show a lot of love and interest in Luna's future activities."

Not long after, Luna wrote a lengthy statement on her personal Instagram account regarding this new endeavor of hers. Along with a couple of her selfies, she said:

"Hello, this is Luna. After leaving SM Entertainment, which I have been with for a long time since my debut until now, I have now joined Humap Contents as my new agency.

I sincerely thank the SMTOWN family, who I have laughed and cried together for a long time. I will not forget that gratitude and will work harder on music in order to show diverse sides of myself to fans. With your words of support, I will be someone who always puts in my full effort!! Thank you."

Apart from shifting to another company, Luna is also currently headlining the musical "Mamma Mia," which is slated to run until the last quarter of the year.

While the group remains intact, Amber and Victoria were the first ones to announce their departure from SM Entertainment. The former posted her self-penned farewell letter to her fans, both in English and Korean.

Amber wrote on Instagram, "Hey everyone, I would like to announce my contract with SM Entertainment has ended today, and I have decided to part ways with the company. From the bottom of my heart, I'd like to thank everyone who believed in me and have been patient with me all these years. I can't wait to show you what's in store in this next chapter of my career. Again and always, thank you!! Love, peace, and Boba -Llama."

Victoria, on the other hand, published a lengthy message on her personal Weibo page.

"I'm thankful for everything in these 10 years with SM; we will begin the next journey in a new manner. This is a new beginning, a restart to my journey, but I will still be me, I will continue to be myself, and not forget the past and move forward. I will work hard to be a better version of myself; as long as my belief is strong, I will not be easily strayed from my path. Cherish every single chance!" Victoria wrote.

Krystal is the remaining f(x) member who is still in the agency, although SM revealed earlier that there is not much time left until her contract concludes.
