Sources said that Victoria, their leader, burst out in tears upon hearing the tragic news, adding that she was in the middle of the filming of a movie. Then, she was seen arriving at Incheon airport from China just a couple of hours after Amber arrived from Los Angeles. 

Victoria took to her Instagram page to lament on her friend's passing. She posted a throwback photo of f(x) when they were still five ⁠- her, Amber, Sulli, Krystal, and Luna. She wrote in her caption, "Sulli~The weather is nice today. Goodbye~I won't forget you. I love you..."

As of press time, the post already garnered over 245,000 hearts. Victoria's followers also poured her comments field with nice and encouraging comments, with one telling her that Sulli loved her back.

Victoria departed from SM Entertainment on September 5, the same day that f(x) was celebrating its one decade together. She included a lengthy message for her fans, which she published on her Weibo.

"10 years have passed in the blink of an eye. On September 5, 2009, I stood on stage and officially debuted. From then I already knew that as long as you put in the effort, you will be rewarded, though luck is important, chances are only given to those who are prepared. I only hope that I could grab a hold of all the chances and leave no regrets.

"Now, it's the 10-year anniversary, it is an end and a beginning. I'm thankful for everything in these 10 years with SM; we will begin the next journey in a new manner. This is a new beginning, a restart to journey, but I will still be me, I will continue to be myself, not to forget the past and move forward. I will work hard to be a better version of myself; as long as my belief is strong, I will not be easily strayed from my path.
