VIXX member Leo is nearing his enlistment and has opened up about some personal struggles.

The male artist uploaded a picture of his hand-written letter on his official fan café revealing when he will join the mandatory military service and talked about his mental health. 

Leo began his letter saying, "As you all know, I was born in 1990, and so, on December 2 I will be enlisting in the military, although it is a bit late. I will not serve as a duty soldier but as a public service worker."

He continued his message revealing what he has been battling with. He wrote, "I am also going to tell you something that fans may have already discovered. Since November 2013, when VIXX world tour took place, I have been struggling with severe panic disorder and depression. Until now, I regularly take medicine and am having treatments to make sure it wouldn't get worse."

Leo added, "For a long period, I have always planned to show my healthy side when doing my duties in the army. I feel so heavy inside because I was unable to fulfill it, even though I will enlist a little late. Before anything else, I would like to apologize to the persons who will get worried about me due to my health, and also to the ones whom I disappointed."

The idol further stated, "I know very well that the fans have been anxious about me, even if they can't tell it to me directly. The reason that made me walk a straight path for the past seven to eight years as a member of VIXX, in spite of having tough times that made me want to surrender, was because of Starlight, our muses. Since you are here, I am also here."

Leo then emphasized that because of the people who have loved and supported VIXX for eight years, he and VIXX are who they are today. And he even noted that he would do his best to be Jung Taekwoon (Leo's birth name), who can give comfort through his music, and also work hard to accomplish his military service, become healthy, and pay back what he has received.

The idol concluded his message expressing his gratitude and again apologizing. He quoted, "From Taekwoon. I will do better so as to carry on for a long time."
