AB6IX attended the "2019 V Live Awards V HEARTBEAT." At the awarding ceremony, Park Woo Jin was able to carry out his solo performance for the opening, but during AB6IX's number with their single "Blind for Love," fans noticed that Woo Jin was not with the members. To this, Brand New Music explained that he was rushed to the hospital for treatment since he has an ankle injury since July and felt the pain while dancing on stage. 

AB6IX member Park Woo Jin will be on hiatus to focus on recovering from his recent injury.

Then, on November 19, Brand New Music, AB6IX's entertainment agency, released a statement through the group's official fan café concerning the current status of Park Woo Jin after he was absent from the said event.

The label started their message mentioning the incident that happened on day of the V Live Awards and that Park Woo Jin was diagnosed with a meniscus tear in his right knee. They added, "As per the doctor's advice, Park Woo Jin had a physical examination and surgery as well. Right now, he is having enough rest and undergoing recovery after his successful surgery, and he is also planning on having a break for the meantime to gain his strength back and improve his condition."

Brand New Music continued, "Brand New Music will also do our best to help Park Woo Jin in his recuperation. Because of this, we announce that AB6IX will proceed with their promotions with the rest four members - Lim Young Min, Kim Dong Hyun, Jeon Woong, and Lee Dae Hwi - starting today for a short time only.

The agency further stated, "We will inform you about the group's future schedules and its details. We ask for the fans' sufficient understanding for the times that Park Woo Jin will be absent from AB6IX's activities, and also for your sincere wishes in his fast rehabilitation. We promise to give our full efforts to ensure our artists' health and protection, all the time! Thank you."

AB6IX is one of the rookie groups as they only debuted last May of this year with their first extended play titled "B:Complete." Park Woo Jin is the main rapper and main dancer of the group. The boy band made their first return almost five months after their debut with their first studio album called "6ixense."

But before becoming a member of AB6IX, Park Woo Jin participated in the second season of "Produce 101" along with fellow member Lee Dae Hwi. Both of them were able to make it to the final lineup of the project male troupe Wanna One. After Wanna One disbanded in December 2018, Park Woo Jin continued to release songs with several artists until he debuted as part of AB6IX.
