Forget about the upbeat, dance-induced tracks for a moment. Feeling sad and feeling under the weather? Listen to EXO's Chen's 1st mini-album, "April, and a Flower," or Punch's songs and collaborative tracks. But if ever you simply want to decline a friend's plans to go bar-hopping and just want to take the weekend as your "me" time, well, Red Velvet has a bunch of these laid-back songs prepared.

Check the mini-playlist we made specifically for you (and, of course, for you to be blessed by the quintet's powerful vocals).

1. "Automatic" (2015)

This song is under the "Ice Cream Cake" extended play album of the group. Its melody can set off a sultry mood that anyone can sing along with. The vocals, the harmonization are mesmerizing and this song marked the group's signature "Velvet" songs. A piece of advice: listen to this when you're enjoying your alone time in your bedroom, or your own flat while sipping your favorite red wine. Light some candles, too.

2. "Little Little" (2017)

The superior behavior of the EP "Rookie" should never be questioned. It topped the charts when it was released two years ago, considering that Red Velvet was still a rookie group at that time. Speaking of "Little Little", it's a song that helps you soothe your vibe, whether it's raining and you're lying on your bed all day or when you're aboard a bus on the way home. Not going to lie as well that the chorus makes you want to sing the song out loud.

3. "Hear The Sea" (2017)

Ah, the vocals, the melody-everything!-are all in all so perfectly encapsulated in a song that exudes nostalgic elements. This song is the fifth/final track of the group's fifth mini-album "The Red Flavor." Its dramatic synths didn't fail to mesmerize us, partnered with the quintet's lovely vocals and harmonization. Imagine taking a solo sojourn at the beach and this is playing along with the sound of the waves. Want!

4. "Eyes Locked, Hands Locked" (2019)

Under the seventh EP "The ReVe Festival: Day 2" of the group, this is like a fusion of summer-like and sultry ingredients to create a laid-back track. Your "me" time is never boring if you have this in your playlist. So, serve yourself your favorite pasta and steak,  pour your goblet some wine, and set the mood with "Eyes Locked, Hands Locked". This is a weekend you're meant to enjoy.

5. "Time To Love" (2016)

A mid-tempo R&B ballad, "Time To Love" takes pride in its emphasis on the beat and the members' powerful vocals. Billboard says that "The Perfect Red Velvet" is the group's "darkest" so far, but the lyrics of the aforementioned track seem to beg to differ about it being dark-themed of whatnot. It's sexy and overall charming, tackling the blossoming love between two people.
