T-ara's Jiyeon will have her solo comeback soon! A representative from Jiyeon's label Partners Park announced that the singer-actress would return as a solo artist. The rep added that Jiyeon has recently finished the studio recording of her new song as well as the filming of its music video, and is currently in the last phase of preparing for her comeback. 

Previously, Jiyeon sat down for an interview following the conclusion of her recent drama, KBS2's "I Wanna Hear Your Song." During the talks, Jiyeon opened up about her activities as a singer. She shared, "Right now, I am talking about it with my agency, and I think it will be out this year." The singer added, "One of the tracks I'm working on is somewhat similar to my previous song 'Never Ever,' and another single is very opposite to my previous music. It would give an absolutely new feel."

Jiyeon's upcoming set of new songs will be her first release after one year since her last digital single titled "One Day," which was out in December 2018, and her first album after more than five years since her solo debut album called "Never Ever" that was launched in May 2014.

Before becoming an idol, Jiyeon first became a model in 2008 for a clothing company along with boy group SHINee. In that same year, she became a trainee under MBK Entertainment and later debuted as the younger member of the ten-piece girl group T-ARA in 2009.

After a year, Jiyeon was cast in the television series "Master of Study," which marked her acting debut. Also, in 2010, she had her first lead role and her first big-screen project. She starred in the horror film "Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp."

In 2012, Jiyeon was one of the main cast in the teen drama "Dream High 2" together with GOT7's JB and Jinyoung, 2AM's Jinwoon, SISTAR's Hyolyn, Kang Sora, and Park Seo Joon. In the following years, the female artist continued to have acting projects, among them are "Triangle," "Encounter," and "My Runway."

Jiyeon's most recent drama is the mystery, romantic-comedy program titled "I Wanna Hear Your Song" alongside Gugudan's Kim Se Jeong, Yeon Woo Jin, and Song Jae Rim. It was broadcasted from August 5 to September 24 of this year.

Jiyeon has been promoting as a solo artist for more than a year now since she left MBK Entertainment in January 2018 together with her fellow T-ara members. She is currently under a Chinese agency Longzhen Culture Development as well as Partners Park.
