On December 10, the management handling X1 and IZ*ONE were interviewed about the groups. After the "Produce" series manipulation scandal, the groups have been temporarily placed on hiatus.

The X1 representative said on SBS' "Access Showbiz Tonight" that the group will continue to be placed on a temporary break status. He said "Right now, there are still no updates about the group's comeback. I cannot tell you anything yet. I'm truly sorry."

The IZ*ONE official then added "The members of IZ*ONE are currently not doing any projects as of the moment. The Japanese members of the group are also still in Korea but all promotions and activities are in hiatus."

When asked about the vote manipulation issue, the representatives answered "X1 and IZ*ONE have done nothing wrong. They all worked so hard and have been promoting their music for a year before the issue came out."
