Following Red Velvet Wendy's accident during rehearsals for SBS Gayo Daejun, fans and netizens were complaining to the TV Broadcast channel after noticing the unsafe or poor quality of the stage, which is very prone to accidents.

SM Entertainment, Red Velvet's agency, then released their official statement, saying Red Velvet won't be attending the show, followed by SBS formal apology assuring everyone to improve their safety measures.

However, fans and netizens weren't happy about this statement of SBS for details on how Wendy got into the accident was not specify, as well as other fandom expressed their comments and sights about this issue, after the experience of other idol groups.

A TWICE fan extended her anger through social media, posting how the girl group was scared to step on the stage while rehearsing for it was shaky, and also share how Solar, MAMAMOO member, fell on the unmarked carpet steps, proving the lack of safety measures of the SBS staffs.

In addition to this, not only during the pre-recording and rehearsals, the idols met accidents but as well as during the live show.

Netizens pointed out how the groups, including NCT, MONSTA X, BTS, and ITZY, experience minor accidents during their performance, such as slipping, sliding, stumbling due to the slippery floors, which affect their full production, with the pre-caution that they might hurt themselves.

Fans also noticed the small stage, which is a disadvantage for the performing groups with a big number of members such as NCT, and as well as to the groups with big steps in their choreographies.

Due to this, the Korean groups' fandoms united through social media, demanding SBS should release another official statement of apology for having such an unsecured stage, which causes artists to hurt themselves.
