BTS Ranked #1 for January Idol Brand Reputation

On the 19th of January, the Korea Reputation Research Institute released the ranking for this month's idol group brand reputation over 100 brands. BTS, who recently released their new track "Black Swan" topping the US chart, dominates the brand reputation ranking as well, kicking off the year on the top. 

The survey was extracted from a vast sum of data collected from the 17th of December, last year, up until the 18th of January, 2020. The data that were gathered includes the consumer's index, participation index, media index, communication index, and the brand reputation index was computed based on the data for community index, having an increase of 26.26% compared to December data.

BTS is currently brand models of several well-known brands, including being chosen for FILA. However, their brand reputation index fell down with about 23.79% compared to their December's index, but it is understandable since it's only the start of the year.

In addition to this, Jimin beforehand was awarded as the ran 1 for his brand's influence and value, making him the top for Brand Reputation chart for January. 

Meanwhile, the song they have released was their first single, which is part of their MAP OF THE SOUL:7. There was a current theory of the track, which is about the inner side of the members, facing their hidden shadows as an artist.

On the other hand, Red Velvet comes in second with a rise in their brand reputation index wit 35.83%. The girl group is currently on a short break after showing symptoms of flu, as well as Wendy, is still on a hiatus due to the on-stage accident she encountered last year. However, their repackage album, "The ReVe Finale: Psycho" continue to dominates the chart, and is having a long term impact around the globe. They have received an all-kill chart upon release, and moreover, their track before Psycho, "Zimzalabim" has been featured for an animated show, "Trolls" proving their popularity.

EXO then comes at third rank, with 23.24 mark up in their recent brank reputation index, amidst the controversy of Chen's marriage and EXO-ls ACE desire to kick him out of the group. Their total score is 7,658,217, which is so close to Red Velvet's score, which is 7,793,658.
