While it was previously reported that the Boy group X1 had disbanded in January, former member Kim Yo Han will start his acting debut by taking the lead role in the upcoming mini-series "School 2020" 

On February 14, Kim Yo Han's management released a statement to the media saying "It is confirmed that Kim Yo Han will participate in the KBS 2TV series "School 2020."

The drama series "School 2020" is the 8th part of the "School" series. 

Kim Yo Han will play the lead role of Kim Tae Jin a former taekwondo athlete who got a bronze medal in the Korean National Sports Festival. Suffering from a severe ankle injury and the bankruptcy of his Father's business, he gave up Taekwondo and transferred to a vocational high school. In this series, he will portray a grown-up attitude but is truly an innocent high school student who does not know how to handle his feelings towards the girl he likes. 

Hang Sang Woo will be directing the drama series along with the Writer Kim Ji Young and Ryu Sol Ah. They are set to start filming in March and will air in August this year. 

In addition to the upcoming project, he was also featured in a cover shoot of @Star1 Magazine for their March cover. 

In recent interviews,  Kim Yo Han talked about how much he devoted his life in playing sports, and that how he experienced anxiety after becoming an Idol trainee from Produce X 101

He also shared how much he is coping up with being surprised whenever the fans would recognize him on the street, saying "I'm still adjusting after my recent debut."

Kim Yo Han admitted that he is similar to his character in his upcoming drama series that is why he is worried and that He was actually in mixed emotion when he accepted the project.  But right after seeking advice from Lee Dong Wook he's become more confident and ready to do the project. 

Previous reports also stated that he wants to show his fans that he is an Idol too, and he won't let go of it, He also told his fans to look forward to it. 

He added "I have been working hard for my fans who have been there since day one and I will not continue to strive for the best. Thank you and I will keep doing my best." 

Kim Yo Han is a South Korean singer and actor. A professional taekwondo player who already won 2 championships, and received a scholarship for it. 

Before becoming an Idol, he does not have any plans to let go of it but he also does not want to waste a one time opportunity of becoming an Idol in a talent show "Produce 101 X" series.

It was in January when the group X1 disbanded due to the manipulation of the votes and rankings.
