The soon-to-be husband and father EXO member, Chen, once again expressed his apologetic heart to his fans and supporters through a message, following his announcement of getting married and becoming a father. 

At the beginning of the year, Chen shocked the world after the male idol announced through a letter that he finally decided to settle down with his non-showbiz girlfriend. In addition to this, he also revealed that their love for each other has already blossomed and that they are expecting their first child. 

Later on, SM Entertainment released their official statement, confirming that EXO Chen's marriage announcement is legit. 

Due to this sudden news, fans and netizens felt flustered, but some are really happy to know that the idol will have his family soon. Though, several fans are also too shocked and can't accept this fact, as well as some netizens, felt some sort of betrayal after hiding it for too long. 

Meanwhile, EXO's Chen, on the 19th of February, uploaded his apology letter through the official fan club and he wrote, 

"I thought about how to convey my heart, and now I write to you. I want to say sorry, and I want to express my apologies to all of you who have been surprised and embarrassed by my sudden news."

After contemplating the words that he wants to say to his fans for an extended period, Chen felt that it is still not enough, and worried that he might hurt EXO-ls more by his awkward words.

"When I first wrote, I had a lot of thoughts on how to tell it to the EXO-l who had been with me because it was the first time in my life."

Furthermore, he also confessed his feelings for the very first time after the negative feedback he received from netizens and his supporters.

"But I wrote this to let you know the fact first that... my heart was hurting for I hurt you due to my lack of words and giving disappointments." 

It was noted that after his announcement, some fans expressed their disbelief and turned their backs to Chen, which also lead to fans demanding Chen's withdrawal by organizing a physical rally in front of SM Entertainment, as well as providing LED trucks banner, which provides the reason why the male idol should leave the group. 

On the other hand, Chen after months of remaining silent decided to convey his emotions and apologized to this fans
