On the 19th of February, Sooyoung spread the news in her social media account after the abolition of the Entertainment News comment section in the Korean news portal site, Naver.

According to the Girls' Generation member Sooyoung's Instagram story, "Sulli's death was due to the malicious comments and negative feedbacks that became a social issue, and now, entertainment news comments section and people related keywords search were decided to be abolished."

In addition to this, the Naver Service Operation Team announced the news through their official blog site as well, releasing their statement about the temporary cancellation of comment section in the Entertainment news portal, as well as to discontinue the search service of the news site that provides a real-time search update about a people or celebrity.

On Sooyoung's IG update as well, she uploaded a screen capture of the announcement of Naver, and talks about the late Sulli in honor of her, putting a caption about her friend and younger sister in the Entertainment industry.

She described Sulli as well and wrote, "The child that lived like a magnificent wave and now became a breakwater."

Her description of Sulli is on point, as for the remaining days of the singer-actress, she didn't stop becoming an advocate who talks about breaking women's stereotype and fighting for her "No-bra campaign," which aims to embrace the diversity and differences of an individual. Sulli also became a host of "The Night of Hate Comments," becoming an eye-opener to the netizens and viewers how single hate or negative comment can affect one's celebrity's life and holistic perspective.

After her passing, it was revealed that malicious comments and cyberbullying is one of the reasons why she took her own life. Due to this, Daum started abolishing their comment section for Entertainment news as well and followed by Naver.

The cancellation of the comment section of the portal wasn't really about Sulli, though, as a close friend and sisters after debuting on the same agency SM Entertainment. Sooyoung can't help herself but to pay respect and offer her tribute to Sulli.

Furthermore, this is not the first time she expressed his feelings towards her friend, but she also posted about her late colleagues as she starts the year 2020.

"I miss the faces of my friends who used to join me as we countdown on the 31st of every year."

Sulli is not the only close friend of Sooyoung who already left the physical world, but she also lost SHINee's Kim Jonghyun and KARA Goo Hara. She expressed her longingness to see their smiles again, as well as to greet them "Happy New Year" once again.

Sooyoung also said, "I lost so many colleagues already, for the following years, I hope that I won't lose anyone anymore."

She then gave her encouraging message to her co-idols who was suffering and wished that no one's smile will fade away and will be washed away by tears. She also reminded everyone that they did well, they are doing well, and they will be doing a great job in the future as well.
