On the 20th of February, SM Entertainment, EXO's Chen agency, released an official statement following the fan's request to kick out the idol from the idol group. The company then announced that the request had been denied, and no members will be leaving the group. 

After a month of remaining silent about the issue Chen had faced due to her sudden marriage announcement and fiancé's pregnancy, SM Entertainment finally talked about the issue, releasing their official stand about the fans who were demanding that the idol should withdraw from the group, after destroying EXO's image. 

It was reported that some Korean EXO-ls had released their request through the official website of EXO's fan club,

"We are not accepting EXO's Chen decision as well as we, [some Korean EXO-l ACE] don't thin Chen's has still the rights to promote under EXO's name. Thus, we are demanding his withdrawal from the group." 

The fans also explained that they have been with EXO for a long time and after protecting the group's name for a long time. Chen destroyed it himself, losing his reputation to remain in the group. 

The rally started in January, days after Chen's official letter for his fans, and in February, SM Entertainment had come up to their decision.

SM released the future activities of EXO, and after considering the other member's personal opinion about the matter, it has been unanimously agreed to keep Chen from the group.

"EXO members have experienced several withdrawal from the group of other members, and they had come up to the decision of staying with each other, together; therefore, there will be no changes in their member lineup."

In addition to this, SM also talks about the upcoming enlistments of some of the members from EXO, including Suho. Prior to this, the agency announced then that members would be focusing on their solo activities as well as sub-unit comebacks for this year 2020. 

EXO's Suho is announced to be having her solo debut, and will be releasing his solo album, as well as it was announced last year, 2019, as well that EXO's Kai will be debuting as a solo artist as well, wherein he had already performed two out of his songs during their concert, "EXplOration."

However, there are no set dates for the military enlistment of the idols, as well as the date of the member's solo and units' activities are to be announced one by one of the following months. 

"Until then, we will announce the member's activities individually." "EXO will also proceed on promoting as one, and even though they will having solo and units, they will promote under EXO."

Meanwhile, after SM Entertainment released their official statement throwing fan's request involving the male idol, they have expressed their happiness through posting their message through different social media sites.
