Dating between idols is kind of a taboo in Korea, primarily due to the strict dating ban of some agencies. In addition to this, some fans are also against their favorites being involved in dating scandals; that's why a lot of Korean idols were afraid of entering a relationship with their co-idols. 

However, as dating in the k-pop industry let an idol pay a huge price, may it be their career or losing fans, these three pair of Idols that used to be couples were unexpectedly gladly accepted by the mainstream. 

1.Girls' Generation's Tiffany and 2PM Nickhun

Last 2014, after being caught dating out, rumors between the two idols sparked, questioning their real relationship. Short after, SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment then confirmed that they are seeing each other with favourable feelings.

Despite being on their highest level of career for Girls' Generation and 2PM are labelled as one of the most loved K-pop groups around the world during the second gen era of K-pop, Tiffany and Nickhun went out to the public knowing the consequences.

Though, even if there are some of their fans who were against their relationship, surprisingly, several fans and netizens rooted for their blossoming affection for each other. It was 2015 then when the couple separated due to busy schedules.


2. Girls' Generation Yoona and Lee Seung Gi

Prior to Tiffany and Nickhun's dating confirmations, SNSD's Yoona and Lee Seung Gi has become the New Year Couple of Dispatch last 2014.  The two have met several times since 2007, and eventually became friends. However, their friendship then turned into love and decided to date. It was reported that the couple started dating in 2013, wherein they were captured by Dispatch dating in Han River, as Seung Gi pick Yoona from home and drives her back home after their date.

Before their dating confirmation, the public knows how Lee Seung Gi admires Yoona a lot that's why when the news came out, the public was very happy for the power couple. 

It was also 2015 when they broke up, after drifting apart from each other due to their careers. 


3. AOA's Seolhyun and BLOCK B's Zico

On August 2016, it was revealed by Dispatch that the two idols were dating each other. According to the news portal, Seolhyun used to run from a taxi to Zico's apartment after her schedules, gaining her nickname "Seolhyun's bolt". The two, however, were very cautious when it comes to their relationship, hanging out inside Zico's car or in his house. FNC Entertainment then confirmed that during Seolhyun's hard times and busy schedules, the female idol and male idol find comfort with each other. 

Though they were showered with plenty of cheering messages and congratulatory messages, after becoming a public couple, they felt pressured with all the eyes looking at every step they are making, which led them to broke up with each other.
