On the past Vlive broadcasts of the "Nation's Girl Group" TWICE, the members consistently asked their fans' support to continuously stream their songs while promoting it as well.

This was supposed to be an ordinary thing between idols and fans; however, some netizens perceived it the other way around, suspecting that the TWICE members are pressuring their fans to stream.

Based on Knetizens, a website that translates comments from the official Korean news portal, some netizens are questioning how TWICE members are pressuring their fans just to stream and listen to their songs. This is after the uploaded posts by some individuals that are pointing out and giving proofs of the members are giving the burden and weights of the responsibility of high chart ranks to their fans from Pann.

On a screenshot provided, Jeongyeon together with TWICE leader Jihyo asked their fans, "Did you guys stream or not?"

On the next provided photo, a Korean netizen, which was unclear to be ONCE or not, posted a message saying sorry to the members as Jeongyeon and Nayeon demanded that the number of views should be balanced with their MV and songs' streams.

As translated the post said, "[laughing sound] I am sorry" "They said there are 55k views so there should also be 55k stream."

After these, netizens were leaving hate comments to the group [as per Knetizens translates], saying,

"Don't they trust their fans? Just let them be."

"The point of the music is to listen to it, but they just seem like they want to attain a higher chart ranking."

Due to these, some netizens, who said to be fans and have a liking to TWICE members and music then expressed their disappointment to the members and even said that they would be leaving the group for good as they were unlikeable anymore. Non-fans were also giving their opinion saying,

"if they were my favourites, I will definitely leave the fandom."

"if their songs were that good, they don't need their fans to chart higher."

Meanwhile, after ONCEs, TWICE fandom then expressed their support to the hateful netizens by opposing their views and opinions.

A fan said,

"It is clear that the comments are not even fans, so why bother? Every group and artists with comeback ask for support as well as promotions, so what do you mean by pressure? More like TWICE is asking ONCEs to stream legally and wisely." [@WG_Nabongs]

Chat manipulation is an issue currently on music shows as well as rigged ranking due to past K-pop idols controversy that is why according to fans, TWICE are helping them and educating to stream using legal platforms without troubling their time and place, however, they were accused of rank manipulation instead.

On the other hand, despite these, TWICE fandom confirmed that the group weren't pressuring them as they are already doing it without the members asking. Above all of these hates, ONCEs assure to stay with the female idols and expressed their love in every way they can.
