This month, rankings of the Top 20 Variety Show Brand Reputation by the Korean Business Research, which is based on the data from the 5th of February to 6th of March this year, has been revealed. 

Results in this ranking are determined by analysis through media coverage, consumers' interaction, participation, awareness, and viewership indexes of the most in-demand variety programs.

'Mister Trot' got the highest ratings, with staggering 29,849,874 points as its brand reputation index and 93.69 percent of positive reactions. Following it is 'Home Alone', then 'Ask Us Anything'.

Mister Trot is the male counterpart of the reality show, 'Miss Trot', that is currently airing on TV Chosun. Hosted by Kim Seong-Joo, the reality show has garnered a ton of viewers, thus, leading them to surpass all those existing South Korean variety programs as of the moment.

On the other hand, the current ranking 'National Singing Contest' could be just for this month as it managed to catapult a higher ranking, since there are 50 participating shows that were involved.

The growing popularity of variety programs and the March lineup of the top shows represent the people's choice and the media transition over time.
