On the 8th of March, fans and supporters of the Korean-American artist Jay Park were enraged following the report that the UFC fighter Brian Ortega assaulted him during an event in Las Vegas.

According to the tweet of ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani who was the first media that released the report, it was stated that Jay Park personally told him that Brian Ortega slapped him.

Park, through Helwani, said that when Jung went to the toilet, Ortega approached him and asked, "Are you, Jay Park?" Then after he confirmed that he was, Ortega immediately attacked his face.

In addition to this, the report also revealed that one of the reasons why Ortega attacked Park was because of the Korean artist's translations for the UFC fighter No. 4, Chan Sung Jung or also known as the "Korean Zombie."

It was reported that Jay Park serves as the translator of the Korean UFC fighter during events because Sung Jung can't speak English. The event was doing great until Brian Ortega raised the issues about Park's translations for Jung in an interview that was conducted last month with Ariel Helwani.

The beef of Ortega with Jung originated when Jay park helped the Korean UFC fighter translate his statements about why he ditched his last fight with Ortega due to an injury.

"It does not matter if it's Holloway or Volkanovski or Ortega. But Ortega 'ducked' me once. I don't need a fighter who ducks me during fights."

For English-speakers, using the term "ducked" is a derogatory and offensive word, which can mean several things, such as being "f*cked up."

Ortega then got offended not just because of Park's translations but also with the message Jung tried to express. He felt like he was being trash-talked. The statement sparked a heated atmosphere between the two UFC fighters.

However, following the interview last month, Ortega announced that Jung already apologized to him, and he replied that they were already good for coming to him like a man.

However, on a post he uploaded on his personal Instagram account, he hinted Jay Park about slapping him before the event on the 8th.

He wrote, "Jay Park welcome to the fight game don't be surprised if I slap the sh*t out of you," explaining as well that having an injury and being "ducked" has different meanings.

Jay Park then replied, "Don't attack the translator. Respect to you for coming to the Korean press, but it's #teamzombie all day."

Ortega then proved that he was not throwing just empty threats, he really slapped the artist upon meeting during the UFC 248.

Meanwhile, Jung and Ortega had an altercation, almost leading to a fight until securities drag Ortega out of the arena.

The President of UFC, Dana White, released her statement saying that there will be no legal actions against any of the three. Moreover, she was interested in making the two fight in a competition, Ortega (14-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) vs. Jung (16-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC).
