It's not a surprising sight for fans to witness their favorite K-pop idols riding their expensive cars, but BTS's RM astonished ARMYs recently not because he bought a new car or was spotted driving his sleep wheels. As a matter of fact, he still bikes to work and is proud of it!

Earlier, the rapper shared on Instagram and on BTS's official Twitter page a couple of his photos with the caption: "On my way to Yeuido for work." He was wearing a face mask, a cap and a hood, which would make him not easily recognized by people. As of press time, his tweet has garnered 1.3 million likes and 419 thousand retweets. 

Thousands of Twitter followers applauded RM, born as Kim Namjoon, for sharing his unusual story. It is not all the time that a celebrity rides a bike to work, given the possibility of fans to mob at them in public. Most of the time, these sought-after personalities opt to use their luxurious vehicles and are surrounded by security personnel.

Why is RM still biking?

In one of his V Live streaming, the BTS member confessed that he has no driving license among all the members. He even mentioned that his co-member Suga joked that he shouldn't drive for the peace of the world, although he expressed his desire to maneuver a car that he dreams. He admitted that he is jealous of seeing his other group mates' capability to drive a vehicle.

As early as 16 years old, South Korean citizens may apply for a driver's license. As this county has a fast-paced environment, owning private transportation would really help a lot. For celebrities like RM, having one would certainly benefit him.

This is not the first time that BTS members went on pedaling, since they were once spotted enjoying summer through cycling: RM, Jin and Suga. This gave hints to their ARMYs that they enjoy the usual activities normal citizens too.
