Jay Park Raps About the Slapping Incident, Accepts Brian Ortega's Apology

Jay Park expressed his thoughts regarding the slapping incident through a rap song. The controversial scuffle happened on March 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada but eventually, the rapper accepted Brian Ortega's apology.

It was on March 12 when the South Korean rapper posted a video on his Instagram account, rapping about the recent clash. The video was uploaded on the day after Brian Ortega posted his apologies using his Twitter account, saying that he is sorry for what he has done to "Korean Zombie"  Jung Chan Sung's translator Jay Park.

Reports also stated that Brian Ortega posted an original tweet, saying how sorry he was for slapping the "Translator," the "K-pop star," but he was not sorry for slapping the "Instigator," which he was obviously referring to the rapper. This tweet has been taken down by UFC fighter.

On March 10, Jung Chan Sung reacted to this incident and shared that he was disappointed he was not able to protect Jay Park that night against Brian Ortega.

"Since I joined the AOMG management, Jay Park never advised me to trash talk to any of my opponents. I am not fluent in English so I asked him to be my [translator]. Jay Park proved himself to me and supported me. I also deny the attacks of the other people saying I used him as a marketing tactic. I'm just mad because I wasn't there to protect him."

@renergracie I cannot believe you wrote this! Jay Park never asked me to write anything and get myself involved in this situation. How is it even acceptable that a 2nd place ranked fighter resorted to using violence towards a civilian? I have been practicing my Jiu Jitsu while watching your YouTube videos. I even attended your seminar when you were in Korea. I am just ashamed and embarrassed. I also want to address that I am upset at ‘Gracie Jiu Jitsu’ as much as that moment when Ortega slapped Jay Park. Is it okay for someone to solve a problem physically before attempting to fix it verbally? Do you guys tell your students that it’s okay to do that at Gracie Jiu Jitsu? I truly thought that you would scold Ortega for his childish behavior because he should have never hit a civilian. I am deeply disappointed in you. #zombieapocalypse A post shared by  정찬성 (@koreanzombiemma) on Mar 10, 2020 at 3:08pm PDT

He added that Jay Park could have defended himself, but that is impossible given the fact that Brian Ortega is a professional fighter with a rank title worldwide.

Last night, you sat 10 meters away from me and Jay Park. For two hours nothing happened, so I thought everything was fine. But you fucking attacked Jay Park while I went to the bathroom. Jay Park is not a professional fighter but a musician. You slapped a civilian who merely helped translate. Even worse, you were sitting there waiting until I would be absent and attacked Jay Park. It was not a fight like real men would do. What you have done is same as a grown up to beat a child. You should have attacked me. If so, I would have not been upset. You are such a coward for slapping a musician not a fighter. If you fucking planned this to fight me and to use my name because people don't remember your name anymore, then I congratulate you, it worked. I will fight you and I will knock you out and your fucking face will be bloody. Now, your fucking face stays in my mind and I will fuck you up in the cage. I hope you won’t run away from me again. A post shared by  정찬성 (@koreanzombiemma) on Mar 8, 2020 at 5:23pm PDT

He is mad about Brian Ortega waiting for him to leave Jay Park for a moment before he could execute his intention to slap his translator.

Meanwhile, Jay Park wrote the caption with words such as "Peace of mind"  to all of the internet tough guys who are, up until this moment, judging him because of his look and race. He explained that toughness is seen inside the heart and not on the outside.

Nonetheless, he thanked all the fans who supported him after the incident and advised all them that it is now over and everyone has to move forward.

"Back to grind peace and love. #notyouraveragekpopdude #koreanhiphopsfinest

#roadlesstraveled #grownmanbars" he ended his statement.

Jay Park also posted the lyrics of his rap on the photo-sharing app.

"I'd rather be on the shelf

Asian kid from the burbs the realest u ever felt

Dont dig ur own grave theres too much to live for

Never take from the poor Robin Hood id rather give more

Insecure ways they got more bark then a sycamore

My dogs bite but its quietter than a whisper

aomg h1ghr music and Seattle

Not one curse word or punch thrown and won the battle

God level moves and they swimmin without a paddle

Im on yacht away from the snakes im never rattled"

After a thorough investigation, it was later found out that the incident occurred because Brian Ortega misunderstood the translation of Jay Park and thought that the South Korean rapper insinuated a fight between the two UFC fighters.
