LOONA Shares Thoughts on First Music Show Win, Future Plans
Girl group LOONA shared their thoughts about their first music win, as well as their future plans and more!
On the March 12 episode of "M Countdown," LOONA made their first win and took their first trophy after performing their song "So What," winning against MCND's "Ice Age" having the score of 3,295 to LOONA's 8,075.
This first-ever win made them emotional as Yves delivered the speech to the crowd, "First of all, I admit that I am so nervous because of this our first win! Thank you so much for giving us the chance to let us express our gratitude to all of you."
Yves mentioned their management and as well as her family members and sent her gratitude live on the show.
In an interview, LOONA members Kim Lip, Olivia and YeoJin delivered their speeches to thank everybody who supported them from the beginning.
Kim Lip shared her speech first by saying, "First of, I would like to express my gratitude to the ORBIT (LOONA's fandom name). It's sad because we performed and won the title without our co-member HaSeul. The moment they announced our win we cried and I think the whole group felt the same emotion as they called out our group name. I would also like to thank HeeJin who did the promoting and we will always be the group that you can be proud of."

HaSeul is on leave due to health concerns after showing symptoms of anxiety. The doctor recommended her to take full rest so that she could receive full treatment as well. The Idol congratulated her group following their win on Mcountdown.
Olivia Hye also shared, "I cannot believe that I will experience to be congratulated because I had always been in a place where I had only congratulated others. The message of our album really reached the audience and listener. I am really grateful to those who helped us achieve this award."
YeoJin also shared her thoughts on their victory, "The moment they announced that our group has been nominated and a candidate for the first place, I started to feel emotional at that time because I thought of the memories from our debut stage until now. I am so happy that I could not stop crying."
LOONA also shared the impact of their first win on their future plans and activities. Choerry said, "It was our first music show trophy that we received after making our debut in the industry. We worked hard for this since the beginning so I think this will make me stronger this time. I also believe that working hard and being ambitious will take us to a higher place someday. This win really changed my mindset."
JinSoul then shared, "This win is a memorable gift to the group and It is a sign that we can go higher places in the future. We want to show people that this win will help us grow and we will try our best to make sure that this win will not only be the first and the last."
The girls were asked if what are the motivations and inspirations behind their title song "So What" that won the music show.
HeeJin took her turn by saying, "I think it's all thanks to the fans who have been there to support us from ground zero up to now. Even though the promotions are postponed as of the moment, our fans continued to show us their trust, support, and love and this made us strong."
Live broadcast shows in South Korea have been conducting shows without an audience following the prevention of the coronavirus infection outbreak.
LOONA members are thankful to ORBITs who contributed to their success in the music industry and hoped that they will meet fans with more growth and development in the future.
