Here's Why MAMAMOO's Solar Didn't Like Moonbyul at First
Solar explained that she and co-member Moonbyul didn't like each other when they first met. She shared that Moonbyul acted very passive towards her, which made her think that she is not someone she should be friends with.
If you are a MooMoo, you will know how the two Idols are close. But like any other relationships, the two ladies did not hit it off instantly.
Solar had a radio interview with Jungyeop's Power Stage LIVE where she shared her first encounters with Moonbyul and the initial impressions she had on her when they first met.
Solar admitted that she didn't like Moonbyul at first and shared her story with Moonyul when they first met as a trainee. She said that the management required them to bring heels but Moonbyul failed to bring a pair of heels with her.
Because of this, someone in the room asked if there was anyone that could lend her some extra pair of heels and Solar insisted that she can let Moonbyul borrow her spare heels. Solar was, however, surprised when Moonbyul failed to return them.
When MAMAMOO made an appearance at a live telecast show of "Life Bar," Solar shared that memory and recalled Moonbyul telling people by saying, "That person lent the heels to me," referring to Solar and impolitely left the scene and the heels without properly saying 'thank you.'
"She is younger than me and it was just our first meeting. But when she saw me, she was pointing at me and started using informal language," Solar stated.
Solar got upset at Moonbyul for disrespecting her like that but when the next meeting happened Moonbyul told Solar that she thought she was younger than her, then her anger disappeared.
Moonbyul also shared that she had the same impression with Solar and that she didn't like her too. She recalled the moment as the very same day when Solar lent her a pair of heels.
"There's a staff member that told us to project in the camera like we're really good friends, then she hugged me from the back and I just thought, "What is she doing?" Moonbyul recounted.
She didn't like it at first but as time passes by she is now the first to initiate clingy actions .
The host of the show, Shin Dong Yup, also asked if the girl group used to get into conflicts, to which MAMAMOO's Hwasa responded by saying, "Of course we fight, but the older members get physical when fighting."
Solar cleared Hwasa's statement and explained, "We don't fight and say things like, 'You did this, and that'," and showed the audience the gesture she used to do when she gets into fights with her co-members. Moonbyul added that they would kick each other when they hear things they don't like.
MAMAMOO cleared that even though they fight over small things, they still make up with each other and avoid getting upset for a long time.
Now that's what makes a true friendship!
