Ong Seong Wu Talks About Romance with Vogue + to Release His Solo Album "LAYERS"
Ong Seong Wu, Produce 101 Season 2 runner-up and former WANNA ONE member, sat down with Vogue Korea to talk about romance and more for its April 2020 edition.
During the interview, the idol was asked about his first love, to which the singer answered, "To be honest, I'm too shy to even share this but If people would find out that your first love was in elementary school, people might react and say, "What? How can you tell that it's first love?' But for me, it was pure and innocent love for several years."
His thoughts about friendship and relationship have been questioned as he answers Vogue Korea's hit, "If you and your close friend both liked the same person and you had to choose on the spot which would you choose love or friendship?"
It took the singer a minute before he answered the question but he was quick to share a thing about what precisely is on his mind, saying that it is up to the person they both have a liking on
"It will all depend on the feelings of that person we both liked. Of course, we can both like or love someone at the same time but in the end, it is that person who will make the decision. Because there might be some unexpected circumstances where that person might not like either of us and we will simply be like, Wow, we both liked the same person and neither of us was chosen," he said.
As the interview went deeper to dig into his thoughts about a romantic relationship, he was asked what he would do if he suddenly fell in love with a longtime friend. Ong Seong Wu then shared that he would confess, regardless of the risk that the friendship might be broken off.
"I know that it is gonna be hard at first because you might lose that person whom you spend a lot of time with, given the fact that you knew that person for a long time but if that love is true and pure, I would tell her. Regardless of how she will respond to that confession, I don't think that it would be easy for both of us to be apart since we shared a lot of times together ever since," the idol said.
Ong Seong Wu is currently in the works for his comeback as a soloist, following the disbandment of WANNA ONE in 2019. Now, the singer is ready for his return with his mini-album titled "LAYERS" that is set to be released on March 25!
