After Hwanhee was claimed to have crashed into another vehicle, he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on March 21. The latest reports, therefore, suggest that in the minor incident, the other party was in the wrong.

On March 25, "One TV Night" broadcast reported that after drinking and driving, Hwanhee was apprehended in the vicinity of Yongin at 6 A.M. on March 21. It seems as though after having drunk at 9 P.M. the previous night, Hwanhee had been waiting the night out but he still had alcohol in his bloodstream the morning afterward.

A witness of the event said to the show, "It wasn't a really serious accident. Only that the car was slightly damaged. Nobody was injured."

"It is true that Hwanhee is the victim, we need to continue investigating further however the other side's car caused the crash after changing lanes," said the Youngin Police Department. Soon afterward, the other party reported Hwanhee to their insurance provider for drunk-driving, rather than contacting the police. The insurance agency then told the police about the incident.

Fly To The Sky's Hwanhee had triggered an auto accident extremely drunk in the wee hours of the morning of that day, according to SBS funE on March 21. The artist was said to have been driving his auto but no clear descriptions have been provided, such as what object he struck when his accident took place.

Soon after the collision, police rushed to the scene and arrested Hwanhee for preliminary interrogation where he confessed to drinking and driving. Immediately, his blood alcohol level was checked. The result was 0.061 percent, adequate to take up and revoke his driver's license. He was then summoned to the station and told to take part in a query next week.

After the news, Hwanhee's H2media agency has released its official statement statement.

"Hello, This is Hwanhee's agency H2media.

We would first of all like to apologize for the bad news about our label artist.

It is true that Hwanhee caused a minor crash in the early hours of March 21 while he was under the influence, and that is simple and inexcusable misconduct.

Hwanhee must comply entirely with the investigation and therefore be punished accordingly.

We express how sorry we are about the misconduct that ought not to have occurred.

We bow our heads once more and apologize for this."

Hwanhee appeared in Korean drama "Over the Rainbow" with Seo Jihye, Ji Hyun-woo, and Kim ok-bin in 2006. An employee from SM Entertainment urged him to audition. He was also a student of post-modern music at Kyunghee University. With his distinctive and strong voice, Hwanhee is also regarded as one of the leading male vocalists in the Korean music industry.
