Fangirling and fanboying is fun, until some fandom members become overly defensive and cruel that they will end up hating on other artists.

Recently, two K-pop idols - BLACKPINK's Lisa and MAMAMOO's Hwasa - had special events on the same date, but some rabid BLINKs attacked the latter.

On March 27, Lisa celebrated her birthday while Hwasa launched her Instagram account.

Although these scheduled occasions are not related, BLACKPINK's fandom took to Twitter and expressed their dislike towards Hwasa and accused her of being an intruder and/or trying to steal the spotlight from Lisa's natal day. As ridiculous as it sounds, some BLINKs really targeted the MAMAMOO idol for such a reason.

Here are some of the BLINKs' hateful tweets against Hwasa.

"On lisa day... hwasa i'm gonna b@mb u ill be at ur house WAITING!!! Sleep with one eye open."

"I should beat her a** for that"

"Hawasa ugly and can't even sing well she's just showing her body and trying to be hot like for real who the f**k love hwasa come on guys be reall she don't deserve anything and yeah I am a hater and proud"

Because of this, MAMAMOO's fans, MooMoos, came to the rescue and berated these fans. They aired their rebuttals and made sure that they would properly address this so-called "immaturity" that some fandom members exhibit.

"Since when Blinks care about Hwasa's IG and Little Mix's new MV. We never had problems with Little Mix's fans and have always been cool with each other Bxtches be mad over nothing and trying to spread lies because the quarantine is becoming boring"

Meanwhile, a lot of BLINKs also sided with MooMoos and censured these kinds of rude tweets, explaining that not everyone acts like this. Some even suggested that these might be trolls and must be reported.

"I want to laugh but at the same time I want to slap them so hard, we're so busy tweeting about Lisa's birthday. They are so stupid and they really don't want to stop dragging our fandom huh," a netizen said.

"Every fandom has trolls let's just not ignore that they do exist and yes they do tweet sh**," another one wrote. 

Both events turned out perfectly as Lisa's birthday became a huge topic on every social platform, while Hwasa's official Instagram account is currently followed by more than half a million subscribers. Fandoms are the rock and soul of every celebrity to reach the peak of stardom, but their negative behavior can result in promulgating hate towards the artists, even the people they look up to.

Meanwhile, Hwasa continues to advance her popularity after she collaborated with international singer Dua Lipa for the track "Physical" and being the new face of Adidas, while Lisa is currently the dance mentor in the ongoing reality show in China, "Youth With You."
