As part of the obligatory procedure, a South Korean man must undergo at a certain age. Kim Jin Woo is ready for his military enlistment. As of press time, he exhibited a military haircut that tells his fans that he will be missing the spotlight for some time.
On April 2, the K-pop idol met the press outside the Nonsan Military New Recruit Training Center before his two-week basic training.

Kim Jin Woo was a bit shy to face the cameras of the press and even asked if he will be going live. His new haircut, which is quite unusual for fans to see, might have caused him to feel that way. Nonetheless, he greeted everyone and said, "I will be back after enduring the training well."

Earlier, one of his closest friends in the industry, Sandara Park, took to Instagram with their photo to express her support for Jin Woo. "Take care of yourself, my brother Jin. We'll be waiting for you," she captioned.

Before his mandatory service in the military, WINNER pre-released their track "Hold" on March 26 and the official launching of their new album "Remember" is set to be unveiled on April 9.
Born in 1991, Jin-woo debuted in 2014 under YG Entertainment. Scouted by Seungri of BIGBANG, who is also currently enlisted; after seeing his great potential in dancing while attending a dance school. In 2010, he became a YG Trainee and the following year, he became a back-up dancer of the YG Family Concert.

In 2013, Jin Woo joined the Mnet survival program called "WIN: Who is Next." The following year, he was officially cast as one of the members of boy band WINNER. In 2019, he made a solo debut with his album, "Jinu's Heyday."
Following his mandatory basic course, Kim Jin Woo will continue his completion of the military service as a public service worker. This military enlistment is mandated by the government of South Korea and he will be carrying his responsibility for the nation without exempting him from being a K-pop idol.
