EXO Suho's Company Organizer Under Fire After Losing A Fan's Signed CD From Recent Event
To celebrate the launch of his latest album Self Portrait, EXO's Suho organized a special video call session with his supporters in early April 2020.
Some fortunate EXO-Ls qualified to receive a Suho video call - including a signed CD dedicated to their names, a personalized handwritten note from Suho himself, and a Suho's doodle photocard.
Nevertheless, on April 16, 2020, one of the EXO-Ls that was chosen for the activity posted in such a long thread that the organizer got her CD copy "misplaced."
"The organizer which conducted the event lost my copy of the signed album from Suho's video call fan signing activity. The host apologized for their failure and said that they would continue to search for it, but it's been a week since it was misplaced. Now the host asks if I can't be satisfied with a blank signed album without Suho's name, signed note and personalized doodle."
Although the host responded reluctantly, the EXO-L described, she was losing sleep over the location of the missing CD.
"Given that it's been a week, I don't know if the CD could be found. The host did not first meet me, and I had to contact them and ask out what occurred. The whole situation causes me even to reduce performance at work.
The host acknowledged that the disappearance of my copy was their mistake, so how much more forgiving should I have to be? I only want to be able to read what Suho sent to me in his letter. I don't get the reason this happened to me. I can not sleep, and I feel anxious.
It was my first signing experience with other fans, so I was spending a lot of money on it. I waited the entire time for my autographed CD to be delivered to me. This makes me sad because Suho shares his messages with the other EXO-Ls who have got their copies. I'm curious about what he wrote to me."
The said "host" ultimately attempted to cover up its failure, according to EXO-Ls.
The host stated that it would be hard to get in line with SM Entertainment again to ask Suho to produce a new one, so it would be easier if he could take it simple on them this time.
"But why, of all the people, me? To me, this would be unacceptable. I wanted a CD with my name on it. I was so confident of it that, if I die, I liked it be buried alongside me. Where's the CD?" The fan tweeted.
Yet she tried to be polite in addressing the problem with them. Though nothing happened to come out of the friendly approach and the disappointed EXO-L ended up revealing their story on Twitter.
"I reviewed several mailing addresses. I spent a lot of money on this, but they're not able to locate my CD. I didn't get angry with the host about the whole matter. I never lifted my voice; I cursed not. I kept reminding the host I want my CD to be in my hands. Nor did I press for compensation.
I've sought to become the calmest EXO-L ever ... while I'm emotionally distraught I had to go through this. Somebody find me my cd, please."
