May is a bustling month for K-pop multi-stans! During this month, famous boy bands and male soloists are about to mark their comebacks, contributing to an exciting month with new music to dance to and/or play on a loop.
Below is the list of the K-pop boy bands and solo artists who are about to retake center stage and set the charts ablaze!
ASTRO (MAY 4)
ASTRO announced their captivating song list for their forthcoming mini-album GATEWAY before its launch date at 6 p.m. KST this May 4!
Through adding a humorous tracklist to their forthcoming album, the boy band further promises to bring fans and listeners into another dimension. Confirmed on April 27, GATEWAY will consist of six songs, all of which have rap verses authored by members JinJin and Rocky.
MONSTA X (May 11)
MONSTA X is planning for their May comeback!
The band has now released their first promotional picture for their return, confirming they will be making a big comeback on May 11 with their newest mini-album "FANTASIA X."
NU'EST (May 11)
Pledis Entertainment released two concept pictures of Minhyun for NU'EST's 8th mini-album 'The Nocturne' on April 26, KST. On a photo, he poses introspectively, leaning against a chair in a sophisticated all-black suit. While he tends to be reviewing a manuscript in the second picture, he looks stunning in a dark green sweater.
In the meantime, the launching of 'The Nocturne' is scheduled for May 11.
DAY6 (May 11)
DAY6 released the first thrilling sneak peek for their May comeback!
The DAY6 members ponder on the essence of love and happiness in English in the creative clip before eventually asking, "Will we conquer this demon?"
DAY6 will make their return at 6 p.m. KST on May 11 with "The Book of Us: The Demon," the third installment of their "The Book of Us series."
NCT 127 (May 19)
Simply titled NCT # 127 Neo Zone: The Final Round, the newly announced release of the band will be launched at 6 p.m. KST on May 19.
A maximum of 17 songs will be featured, along with the new track "Punch," which will highlight the release. The band's highly anticipated releases will also include three new b-side songs along with the thirteen songs from their second full-length album NCT#127 Neo Zone.
KIM WOOSEOK (May 25)
TOP Media announced back in February that he would be launching a solo record. On April 23, Xportsnews announced the release of the new single on May 25.
His company verified in response to the recent article, "Kim Woo Seok is getting ready to release and produce his first debut album on May 25."
PARK JIHOON (4TH WEEK OF MAY)
On April 22, OSEN announced that Park Ji Hoon is getting ready to launch his new music towards the end of May.
His company Maroo Entertainment stated in response to the news and stories, "Park Ji Hoon appears to be making a return in the fourth week of May," and continued, "The precise date is now being planned at the moment."
BAEKHYUN (NO DATE YET)
OSEN announced on April 22 that the EXO main vocalist is now planning to release a solo debut album in May. He is actively engaged in different aspects of the making process, as per the report.
SM Entertainment clarified in response to the original news, "Baekhyun is planning a solo album targeting an official launch in late May. Please, look forward to seeing it."
HA SUNG WOON (NO DATE YET)
On April 20, a representative from Ha Sung Woon's company informed TopStarNews, "Ha Sung Woon is planning for his return, and about 80 percent of the recording and producing has been completed."
The spokesman added, "Given the current COVID-19 situation, we are careful about how to handle the situation. Once social distancing steps have relaxed, in mid-May, we will take a call on the actual date of the return. Via fan conferences, fan sign activities, and other album promotional activities, he wants to meet fans soon, but safety comes first."

Big Hit Entertainment has reported to Newsen that in mid-May, TXT will be making a comeback.
