On May 6th, Goo Hara's biological mother was sought out by the reporters of "MBC's True Story." The reporters wanted to hear of the side of the story since Hara's brother Goo Ho In is also featured in the episode. The actress's late brother is currently in a legal dispute with their mother after the latter has been trying to claim all of Goo Hara's assets.

However, it has been publicly known that Goo Hara's mother had abandoned her children long ago before Hara gained popularity. The decision of their mother to claim Hara's assets resulted in a negative backlash in her part. People have been posting negative remarks about her and has condemned her actions.

It was also reported that during Goo Hara's funeral, instead of assisting the guests, she had been busy taking photos with the celebrities present.

Meanwhile, Goo Hara's mother didn't answer the staff and reporters of MBC's True Story. She just reportedly stayed behind closed doors and asked the reporters to go away.

"What are you doing? Why are you here?" When the reporters answered that they just want to ask about ongoing case she has with her son about the late actress's inheritance, she only answered, "I don't want to talk. I've nothing to say. Please leave."

Netizens have expressed their opinion on the matter and it doesn't sit well with Goo Hara's mother. One even commented that she usually doesn't condone reporters harassing people in their private homes, but she supports them in trying to find out the truth about Hara's inheritance.
