On the Korean online community platform, Pann, one of the enormous topics is Suran was heavily critized for a post involving BTS Suga. It can be remembered that the two collaborated almost two years ago and was entangled in a dating rumor.

She was heavily criticized by Korean netizens after posting a screenshot of IU's new song, "Eight," featuring the K-pop idol, BTS Suga.

On May 6, IU x Suga's collaboration song, "Eight," was dropped, which eventually draw lots of attention due to the legendary team-up of the two artists who both hold immense popularity not only domestically but globally.

Suran, a Korean singer, who previously worked with BTS Suga, then posted a screenshot of the new song on her Instagram account, showing love for the track and apparently, to support her co-artists IU and Suga as well.

However, K-netizens, think that there's a deeper meaning towards the post, leading it to become a controversy linking to Suga. Earlier, Suga posted a screenshot of him streaming the song on the same day that it was released. Shortly after, Suran also posted a screenshot of the song and uploaded it to her Instagram account.

A K-netizen then commented on Suran's post, asked her skeptically, and wrote, "Eonnie (older sister), Why is it (stamped) at 1 minute and 7 seconds?" 

Suran, who noticed the comment, then replied, "Is there anything special between 1m and 7s? I was listening to the song and took some screenshots, and that was the time that the title properly appeared. Just don't look deeper into it." 

But fans and netizens are not convinced by Suran's response. On the Korean community site, K-netizens criticized Suran, thinking that it was intentional.

Looking back, Suga also posted a screenshot, and the timestamp of the photo was also on the same stamp of Suran's picture. Some of the comments say, "Suran uploaded hers after Suga uploaded his screenshot. You can see that she purposely matched the time on her playlist."

Furthermore, netizens pointed out the flaws in Suran's response as well. According to a K-netizen, the song, when played normally, the lyrics at 1m and 7s is, "Forever Young."

However, at Suran's photo, the lyrics that appeared are, "So are you happy now, finally happy now are you," which is the first line of the song. According to Suran's comment, she took the screenshot while playing the song; however, the play bar is not on, leading netizens to conclude that it was intentional.

Eventually, some netizens think that something is going on between Suran and Suga following their dating controversy in 2018; however, it was immediately denied by both agencies, and Suran apologized as well.

However, Suran's fans and other netizens think that this should not be a controversy, as the female idol is obviously showing her support to her friends only. Fans of the idol were in rage for dragging her into a controversy where she didn't do anything wrong.

As the controversy gets bigger, Suran then explained herself through her SNS account, explaining her side, and revealed that she was hurt by the rumors and for being misunderstood, the reason why she wrote a lengthy letter.
