IU Speaks About Suga’s Collaboration and Being Followed by Post Malone

IU revealed something about her collaboration with BTS's Suga and being followed by the international artist Post Malone.

IU and BTS's Suga's collaboration was a huge success as fans have been profusely showing their appreciation upon the release of the track on May 6.

In the most recent episode of the "Look Me Up" series, wherein IU was the guest, she opened up about the successful project. While listening to Suga and RM's video, she heard the former said, "The production process was very smooth, so there wasn't a lot of back-and-forths."

Due to that, she also spoke about how she sees the entire production of the song, "Eight." She explained, "As Suga said here, the production process went really quickly. We didn't spend a long time thinking hard about it. Suga sent me a track, I wrote a melody and sent it to him. It really worked like that, in one go. Then we recorded it right away. I was so thankful."

She also had time to read some of the comments of her fans on her SNS. She was happy to know that some of them donated for the Children's Day after it was revealed that she donated a huge amount for the annual celebration.

Aside from that, she told a funny story about what made her brother go crazy. When she discovered that she was followed by Post Malone, she got curious about it and reached out to her sibling, who is currently studying in the United States.

"Who is the best in the United States of America now?" She asked, then the brother replied that it is Post Malone.

She then revealed to him that the said personality recently followed her. And as expected, her brother was hyped. She also revealed that she followed him back. IU seemed happy to see that she made him feel impressed at her.

The singer also told a story before that in the midst of her blossoming career as a K-pop idol, his brother had to face a lot of her fans in school when they knew he was IU's brother. He transferred school and never revealed their connection, which made the K-pop singer feel bad.

When IU and Suga's collaboration song "Eight" was released, some fans of the late K-pop idols SHINee Jonghyun and Sulli were moved. They felt that the song and its music video is somehow dedicated to the two departed stars. Fans then flooded her social media to express their gratefulness to IU, who is known to have been close friends to the two.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that IU and Park Seo Joon will star together in a film called "Dream" under the direction of Lee Byung Hun. They will be joined in with other actors, such as Lee Hyun Woo, Kim Jong Soo, and Go Chang Suk. Photos of their script-reading surfaced online.

The filming has been confirmed to have started on May 7, and the possible release of the movie is in 2021.
