Chung Ha, Somi, and More Join the June Comeback Lineup With Blackpink, Red Velvet, and Twice!
The month of June is fast approaching as fans gear up for their favorite idols' comebacks amid many other groups and solo artists unveiling and promoting their newest releases. Noticeably, June 2020 is looking booked, busy, and sizzling with all the famous girl groups notifying their respective fandoms and dropping hints of their return to the center stage this summer!
Starting with TWICE's refreshingly cool and different concept with their comeback song, "MORE & MORE," which will be released on June 1 at 6:00 p.m. KST. The members themselves revealed the official release date of the song at the end of their "TWICE: Seize The Light" online press conference. According to a news source from Naver, TWICE finished shooting "MORE & MORE" MV in Jeju Island earlier this month while simultaneously wrapping up the final adjustments on the album.
ONCEs are especially excited for this comeback and cannot wait to see all the nine members perform together on stage once more. Additionally, JYP Entertainment also announced the release of a new Japanese album later in July. Looks like the ladies have packed schedules once again after a well-deserved break since their "FEEL SPECIAL" comeback in September 2019.
Another girl group to ignite the "Girl Power" in June is WJSN with their "Neverland" comeback! Starship Entertainment posted an official announcement earlier this month that the girls are preparing for a comeback in June. On May 10, WJSN's Twitter account shared more details, such as the title of their mini-album and the official date. Four days later, they posted the schedule for essential dates from revealing the tracklist on May 17 until the final release of the album on June 9.
Next up are the ladies of BLACKPINK who have finally made their presence in your area after a long year and two-month hiatus with a collaboration announcement with none other than Lady Gaga. The legendary western artist posted the tracklist of her 6th album "Chromatica," which revealed the song "Sour Candy" that BLACKPINK participated in, the song along with the album will be released on May 29, so better keep an eye on it!
Although their label has yet to make any official announcement about a comeback, Jisoo, Rosé, and Jennie expressed their excitement for their return during the latter's Instagram live on May 1. They informed and teased BLINKs about it by sharing that they were in the middle of planning their MV and have been in the studio almost everyday.
Meanwhile, a source from SM Entertainment revealed that Red Velvet's Irene and Seulgi are confirmed to debut as a duo unit, although the company has not shared the comeback date yet. The two are currently undergoing preparations for their first unit album, had fans anticipating the release even more, and expectations intensify daily.
Other artists who have hinted in making a comeback this June are IZ*ONE and Somi, along with Chungha, who already pre-released her single "Stay Tonight" on April 27.
According to Mnet's statement on May 11, IZ*ONE's reality show "IZ*ONE CHU 3" will showcase the girls' stories and experience as teenagers and 20-year-olds, as well as information about their comeback.
On the other hand, Somi's vlog series "I AM SOMI" gave clues to her fans about her possible return next month. The soloist can be seen earnestly and excitedly preparing for a comeback.
