Kim Dong Wan of Shinhwa has informed and warned those who invade his privacy. His company, Office DH, issued an official announcement regarding this issue through social networking sites on Saturday, May 23.

"Hello, this is Office DH.

We've raised this issue several times through the use of official alerts, but there are individuals who haven't heard, so we're going to say it again.

An individual has indeed been heading to Kim Dong Wan's residence since last summer.

We attempted to communicate directly to the individual and also to contact the authorities. They didn't turn up sometime after the police report, but this individual jumped over the fence today and went to the entrance door.

They'd been out in the barrier till now, but when they jumped over the fence, this is clearly considered trespassing.

If there is anyone who happens to know this individual, who has consistently been desperately looking for Kim Dong Wan out at home, please dissuade them from this attitude and behavior.

The residence of Kim Dong Wan is his own private space. It is a sacred place where he can relax and recover without any other people intervening.

Never indulge in actions such as trailing an artist into his home.
Thank you."

In July 2019, Kim Dong Wan also shared an angry response to a stalker through his Instagram account.

A stalker has opted to leave a provoking note in the mailbox of singer-actor Kim Dong Wan, triggering the celebrity to respond angrily. Kim Dong Wan uploaded pictures of the message on his Instagram.

Evidently, penned with such a black inked pen, the note reads, "I worked my ass off searching for your home, I know you! Now, I found you!"

A close look at the message showed it was sent to a location in Suwon's Paldal District from a postal service in Suwon City up the coast of Seoul on June 25.

The hashtags Kim used throughout his post shows he was outraged by the stunt. They published, "If you intend this to be a prank, I'm going to make you endure the contrary. I can simply see your image."

The Shinhwa star begged the stranger to "respect my desire to be secure and comfortable in my private space."

Kim Dong Wan's social media followers told the artist that the unidentified suspect "must not be pardoned" and "whoever that suspect it should be reported to authorities and prosecuted." Some have advised him to "keep a dog on guard."

He is not unfamiliar with the privacy breaches by fans. In January, he posted a message to them online. His firm also asked the fans to "stop putting meals in his suburban home area because it could attract wild boars and endanger the neighborhood."

First-generation boy group Shinhwa, established in 2011 by SM Entertainment, shocked K-pop enthusiasts in 1998. Kim Dong Wan also had played a significant role in the TV comedy satire-drama, "I Don't Wanna Work," on KBS since September 2018, one of only a few other K-pop stars with an acting professional qualification on television and stage.
