Gugudan's Mina is bidding farewell to her role as the "Music Core" MC.

On May 30, Mina will be filming her last episode as the star host of MBC's "Music Core." She has become an MC on the program for two years and three months.

On February 24, 2018, Mina was appointed as the host for the music entertainment show and until then has demonstrated her amazing synergy with her co-hosts, NCT's Mark, Ong Seong Wu, SF9's Chani, and Stray Kids' Hyunjin.

Mina also managed to win the Rookie Award for Music & Talk at the MBC Entertainment Awards 2018, with her clever comments and seamless hosting skill sets.

Before her anticipated last broadcast, Mina said, "Thank you to the family of 'Music Core,' supporters, and all who always embraced me warmly. I was very glad to be associated with 'Music Core' and getting so much support. I will come back to show off an even better side of myself. Thank you so much."

Mina's last show as the MC airs at 3:30 pm on May 30 KST.

Kang Mina is an actress and singer, known for ranking ninth in Produce 101 on Mnet's K-pop girl group competition show. She was a part of the I.O.I girl band, and is currently part of Gugudan as well as its 5959 and SeMiNa subsets.

She is also better remembered for her appearances in the webtoon-based "Dokgo Rewind" TV series (2018) and Hotel del Luna (2019).

Kang Mina, along with colleague trainees, Kim Na-young and Kim Se-Jeong, represented Jellyfish Entertainment on the survival reality girl band TV series Produce 101 in January 2016 for the opportunity to premiere in a Mnet girl band.

The show ended on April 1, 2016, and South Korean girl band I.O.I 's latest line-up was confirmed, consisting of the top 11 actual vote-winners. Kang ended ninth individually, with 173,762 votes, and became an official girl group member.

YMC Entertainment announced on June 10, 2016, that Kang will not participate in I.O.I 's unit promotional activities, but rather would move to her company to premiere and endorse with the forthcoming South Korean girl band, Gugudan.

A Gugudan subgroup labeled Gugudan 5959 was established in July 2017, with Kang and Hye-Yeon fellow participants. They made its debut on 10th August 2017 with the track "Ice Chu."

IN June 2018, Kang and participants Sejeong and Nayoung created a Gugudan subgroup called Gugudan Semina. They started their careers on July 10, 2018, with the launch of their self-titled single release.

In 2017 Kang landed a role in the 2017 MBC romantic comedy series Children of the 20th Century, appearing as Han Ye-Seul's younger counterpart.

That same year, she portrayed her initial starring role in Walking Upright's 2-episode tvN drama History.

She then performed along with Sehun of EXO in "Dokgo Rewind," and portrayed a supporting role in the fictional romantic drama "Tale of Fairy" of tvN. Kang was reported as part of Thailand's "Law of the Jungle" cast in March 2019.

In April 2019, Kang was featured as Kim Yuna in the tvN drama "Hotel del Luna."
