KOZ Entertainment, Zico's company, issued a new statement on June 4 about its legal proceedings against negative comments and allegations against the artist.

The statement reads:

"Hello, this is Zico's managing label, KOZ Entertainment.

In October, KOZ Entertainment officially confirmed that by tracking multiple internet communities and social media platforms, we would be taking appropriate legal actions against devious threads that contain spreading misinformation, libel, character insults, and much more against our artist Zico. 

In this particular reference, we decided to carry out the first round of proceedings against threads through the legal firm Jung Sol, which included spreading misinformation, sexual assault, slander, personal insults, and violation of our artist's personal life.

As a culmination of the investigation, a subset of the offenders, were promptly charged after their complaints of insult were accepted pursuant to Article 311 of the Criminal Act, and that we are actively investigating the remainder of the perpetrators in order to prosecute them with breaching the Act on the Promotion of Information and Communications Network Use and Security of Information (libel). The results are to be announced soon.

We are also presently going to file the second round of concerns, and we will react appropriately and heavily without peace agreement or leniency as with the first round of prosecutions, and we will unveil specific information when the investigation is over. 

We would also like to notify everyone that our agency will take regular action to lodge criminal prosecution and submit civil damage lawsuits and take all the necessary legal proceedings for civil and criminal retribution against acts that tarnish the reputation of our musician by actively tracking different communities and social media platforms and extensively researching the details being sent by fans as foundation.

KOZ Entertainment will continue making steady efforts so that musician Zico and his supporters will have a year of happiness and wellbeing in this.

KOZ Entertainment initially announced in October 2019 that they would pursue legal proceedings against those who publish, write, and spread hateful comments and misleading speculations.

KOZ Entertainment made a public statement on October 29, concerning legal proceedings it was pursuing against vile comments and unconfirmed reports.

The agency's previous statement reads:

"Hello, everyone. This is KOZ Entertainment. 

We will take legal action against digital and social media threads that include misleading libel, false facts, personal insults, sexual harassment, and slander of our musician Zico.

Following ongoing monitoring of [the circumstance] and gathering information from supporters, we will collect data on internet users who have written or circulated offensive posts and comments above standards that are socially appropriate in internet communities, web sites, and social networks, and continue with filing a complaint through a legal agent.

Therefore, as long as the abuse and more harm to our talents continue, we will continue taking all possible legal action. Yet, again, we stress that there would be no lenience or compromises.

As we continue to ask for fans to cooperate, we will do our job to preserve our artists' interests."
