Today, ahead of the official launch of her solo album on June 14, Kyla, previously from the now-dissolved PRISTIN, published a mini-album highlight video on her YouTube channel. 

Kyla's first releases as a soloist are in her mini-album, titled "Watch Me Glow." It includes five songs: "Homecoming," "Watch Me Glow," "Lost," "Oh La," and "Away" for the title track. The five songs are packed with EDM and hip-hop components that represent the personality and preference of Kyla.

It is a fact that we haven't seen anything since she left PRISTIN one year in advance of last year's official disbandment, although she's been in touch with her fans for more than a year after that disbandment via Twitter.

Naturally, her fans are excited about their forthcoming mini-album after hearing it from the Twitter account announcements earlier this month.

Since its disbandment, PRISTIN has become a heated topic for people. The band had gone almost a year without almost any publicity, far less several official launches, which culminated in its dismantling.

For just two years, the members were together as a band, not one year under the name of PLEDIS Girlz. The band released only two mini-albums throughout that time as PRISTIN and a maximum of only three releases, four with its first "We" single.

Several explanations for Kyla's abrupt exit from PRISTIN have indeed been speculated. While both PLEDIS Entertainment and Kyla have issued remarks officially, they are still suspicious about the time since these events.

Fans are likely to be rather irritated at the attention that their company has not paid to PRISTIN and particularly when compared to SEVENTEEN and NU'EST labelmates.

Kyla's brother claimed that she was not taking a leave because of her mental well-being or difficulties related to her weight and that the truth could be alarming! Fans suspected that Kyla's break from PRISTIN was the real cause, and many felt Kyla was going to take a break for her psychological health.

Since her debut, Kyla's weight had been continuously criticized, and fans assumed that the reason for her "health problems" was the stress and increased focus on her looks.

That being said, Kyla's brother, Luke Messie, made clear that Kyla had earned an inflammation that was contrary to what Pledis Entertainment had said.

Luke also wrote on twitter a critique remark that did appear to be targeting her managing label for not telling the truth to the public.

"If maybe you would have been honest from the start, you wouldn't be facing these many problems," he said.

Before her break, Luke wrote on Twitter about Kyla getting a head injury during a film shoot, and many of her head injuries were rationally linked with a concussion.

"I am so proud of my sister for her dedication despite being injured. She pushed through the music video shooting despite being in pain," Kyla's brother stated.

Luke's tweets have been removed since then, but fans are hoping Kyla has no significant health problem and will come back eventually.

Now, Kyla is back and is definitely shining even more than she was!
