JYP Gives A Generous Gift For Yubin To Show His Support + His Life Advice To Her
The previous Wonder Girls member Yubin has announced earlier this year that she will leave JYP Entertainment and establish her own agency. Recently, that plan became a reality. The newly established RRR Entertainment's CEO, Yubin, is not only managing her own individual operations but has also recruited to the company her former bandmate Hyerim.
Yubin had also given her fans a peek of her daily activities as a CEO on the June 20th episode of tvN's program "On and Off." On that same episode, the singer/CEO talked with her advisor and the president/CEO of her previous agency, Park Jin Young.
Yubin fondly asked Park Jin Young how he's doing, and the musician-producer answered with a good chuckle, "like always, I stay in the recording studio." "I just transferred into my office today," Yubin satrted to share, and Park Jin Young delightedly responded, "Really? I couldn't wait to visit!" "I just relocated today," Yubin informed him. "When you do have some free time, you can come by," she added.
The JYP chief executive then started asking Yubin what she would want as a gift, "Should I consider purchasing you a big-screen TV, or should I purchase you a fridge? What is it that you want me to get you?" Yubin chose the large-screen TV, explaining that since it was an entertainment firm, the company needed a big screen.
Park Jin Young then confirmed, "Then, I'll immediately send you one." He went on to joke, "But in the bottom right corner I am going to write 'JYP.' People need to know that JYP was sending television."
The producer questioned Yubin how many staff members she currently had and she responded, "There are a total of nine staff including me."
With a seriously concerned voice, Park Jin Young commented, "It's not easy running your own company, is it? But, no matter what, you'll learn a great deal from that. It's going to be a big benefit to you for the rest of your life that you've attempted to build your own agency, no matter what you eventually wind up achieving."
He also added, "Everything you're going to encounter over the next few years, whether you end up with good or poor results, will become an extremely important lesson for the rest of your life."
Yubin sincerely thank Park Jin Young for his assistance in enabling her to set up her own firm.
Adding, "It's not long since I ran the firm, and I've already started realizing and managed to learn that much." Park Jin Young replied by stressing, "But the truth is, a CEO has to be strong and nasty, and that's not how you are. You must be cold to several other individuals when running a company when a situation demands coldness, even though you feel really bad about everything. Otherwise, you would not be able to operate the firm."
He also explained saying, "owning a business implies you will eventually end up hurting everybody's feelings who happens to work there. That is how it is like to run a business. When you operate for eight people, then all eight people have their feelings hurt by you."
When Yubin made amends for actually making Park Jin Young worry while at his company when she was still an artist, the JYP owner responded with fondness, "there's nobody in the universe who is nicer than Yubin."
Being unable to quit worrying concerning his protege, he wondered aloud, "How will our kind Yubin pay the salaries for eight people from here on out? This drives me nuts."
Prior to actually hanging up, Jin Young Park told Yubin, "Don't buy a TV; I'll get you one. Let's grab a drink outdoors soon," he stated, and Yubin gladly obliged, "Yeah, I would like that."
