Sandara Park Reveals Story Behind G-Dragon’s Hand-Doodled Sneakers + How Special It Is
Sandara Park and G-Dragon's friendship is really something! On the 13th episode of, "SHOEDUKHOO: Story of My Shoes," aired on the YouTube Channel Duxx, the female idol-actress, revealed the behind story of G-Dragon's customized PEACEMINUSONE sneakers given to her. Indeed, the story will make you think that their relationship is undoubtedly special!
In 2019, G-Dragon had a collaboration with Nike through PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Air Force 1 Paranoise Collection launched on November 23. Along with this, the BIGBANG's icon sent out 88 pairs of the limited edition yellow swoosh version to his special friends and family-and one of the 88 is none other than Sandara Park!
In the same year, they shared a photo of them together as Sandara showed her customized shoes from G-Dragon. This then creates a buzz from netizens and their fans, as among the 88, Sandara is the only person who received a G-Dragon Force sneakers, with a special touch from the idol.
Several rumors and speculations that triggered people's imagination then circulated between netizens and media, thinking that there is something special going on between the two, even more than close friends. Thus, on the show, Sandara Park revealed why G-Dragon gave him a customized sneaker.
In Shoedukhoo show uploaded in June 2020, the female idol introduced some of her personal shoe collections, not even half of his more than 1,000 pairs of shoes and sneakers, which she revealed in the show as well. One of the shoes she brought in the set includes the special sneakers that G-Dragon gifted to her.
According to Sandara, "Before his (G-Dragon) military enlistment, he already had this in mind, and when he came back, he launched it then. He told his close friends that he would be sending 88 yellow ones."
That's why the female idol was expecting she would receive the limited edition of the yellow swoosh version exclusive only for G-Dragon's family and close friends; however, when she received it, Dara has the white swoosh instead.

Apparently, her size isn't available, that's why she ended up getting the white swoosh version. Just then, she confirmed to the male idol why she got the white swoosh, as it was different from what he told her.
Sandara then narrated and revealed the story behind the handmade shoes saying, "I called him, GD, yes, the white one has come, but I think he got lots of those contacts that people got white ones instead. It wasn't his fault, so he drew this yellow one for me instead," showing the hand-doodled yellow swoosh on each right side of the pair.
In addition to this, G-Dragon also wrote Dara's name on the pair, making it more special.
As the MC concluded that getting a white one is better as Sandara got a unique one in the end instead, Dara cheerfully agreed and exclaimed, "Yes, because these are the only ones in the world."
Furthermore, she also agreed to the host that GD and she were close friends, and that the gesture of the male idol is indeed touching.
On the other hand, people who heard the story were delighted, particularly DARAGON fans, an unofficial fandom created for the two icons' ship/loveteam. Dara and G-Dragon were involved in several dating rumors since their debut and up to date. Though years had passed, people are still hoping they would end up together, despite claiming that they are close friends only.
