UPDATE: SM Entertainment Releases Official Statement on NCT Taeyong's Allegations

NCT Taeyong's name is again under fire and SM Entertainment releases official statement today.

The KPOP idol's label has decided to take a legal action against the continuous allegations thrown towards NCT Taeyong. The announcement came on the 24th allowing the fans to hear their side regarding the issue.

According to SM Entertainment on their official statement released today, those accusations are not entirely true.

"Hello. This is SM Entertainment,

We would like to inform you of the company's stand with regards to the issue that involves our artist, Taeyong, that has been surfacing on different social media platforms.

The person, who has been sharing about the events that occurred during Taeyong's middle school days, is the informant who came out to side the victim. The said informant has been consistently posting stuffonline that are mostly one-sided opinions and are twisted facts that benefit the name of the victim.

Taeyong has said sorry for such and have compensated for the misgivings he has commited during his youngster days, towards the victim. Inspite of it, the informant has consistently mocking Taeyong using falsified accusations as well as exaggerations that are one-sided beliefs.

The company knows this, but because the said person is Taeyong's friend and school mate during his middle school days, as such the other parties involved might face another wave of harm, we are holding back as we worry that it might cause harm to his middle school mates."

At this part, SM takes their stand by saying:

"The company will not relax anymore and will pursue firm legal actions in the name of slander and other crimes, if the malicious will still persist.

Adding to it, the company will respond swiftly to the duplication and expansion of any unconfirmed content and law-breaking acts, such as malicious comments, personal attacks and defamation towards Taeyong and his family.

In order to avoid future problems, we are asking that you halt any further posting including sharing of gossips, malicious comments and infringement of privacy to the victim, the informant and anyone else related about Taeyong's middle school days.

We are also wishing to inform that aside from this issue, we have been, and will move further to reinforce monitoring and law suits in order to defend our artists.
